You won devs
Just got paired with this. I left almost immediately being able to tell I wasn't playing fellow rank 19s. Rank 2, 4, 1, and 5. You won DBD. I kept trying matches today but God damn. Maybe the messages from others saying I suck will keep me wanting to play. Maybe playing the killer is just a joke. Maybe I will eventually have fun playing survivor so I can troll killers like others troll me? Who knows.

The matchmaking is horrible right now. It is why this game doesn't provide an enjoyable experience to many newer players. They get turned off by all the looping and overall, better performances by the high rank players they match with. It discourages them from playing and they most likely move on to something else I'd imagine. It's unfortunate, but there's suppose to be a new matchmaking system implemented. However, I honestly doubt everything will be better after that system is here.

They will eventually quit matchmaking and ranks and doing random. So kiler rank 1 vs just bought this gane players and SWAT team vs a newbie trapper.

You're 3/4 of the way to devotion 2 with perks that are from other killers so I'd hardly call you a rank 19 even if all of that came from the survivor side.
Matchmaking is messed up right now no argument and the new MMR will hopefully fix these issues but this isn't really all that bad considering your general experience in the game. It could certainly be much worse.

Lately, I've been getting paired with rank 16-20 at rank 10 with 1 person close to my rank. Luckily for many of them I've been messing around for the most part. But I feel kinda bad for the ones I played seriously against.

Are you suggesting that because you are rank 19, it would have been more fair for you to go up against rank 18-20 survivors?
Have you looked at your:
- Perks
- Killer Level
- Player Level
You look like a player who has leveled up his killer to max level, three out of four perks are at III, and has clearly played enough DBD to know enough about the game mechanics to not make it fair to survivors at 18-20, the same way leveled up survivors playing at 18-20 should not be matched with a new rank 20 killer.
Perhaps devs are trying to teach you a valuable lesson in humility.

Yeah but lets be real, youre not actually a rank 19. You should be higher. Youve got perks from 3 different killers there, and 3 of those perks are triple stacked. Youve been playing longer than a week and it wouldnt take you longer than that to be higher. Matchmaking did to you what you were trying to do to legit 19s. Im just not feeling sympathy here. Ifeel bad for the legit 19s and 20s it puts me up against

Think we'll have to be patient here, cant see them wasting man hours fixing matchmaking when there're about to scrap it. I do feel for new players who get cuffed with mm, good chance they're dropping the game if theyre having a bad experience early on.

How is it horrible "right now"? It has been like that for how many months? At least six, isnt it? At this point, it has nothing to do with "right now".

Red, Purple and even Green ranks should never be allowed into brown or even yellow ranked matches for Red and Purple as this is detrimental to the health, well being and future of our game due to new players being turned away and behaviour losing new potential revenue streams for future content development making old players less likely to be retained.

Matchmaking sucks, and it's because rank sucks.
It's so easy to rank up and it's legitimately difficult to derank. I was gone for 6 months and my rank only reset to 13, that's just barely past halfway. Even doing the absolute bare minimum in a match you're very likely to maintain rank rather than lose it unless you actually ran square into the killer and got hard tunneled/camped.
So therein lies the main problem. You have 2 major populations of players; the high ranks, and the new players in the brown ranks. Everything inbetween is a scarcely populated scattering of players who quickly rise up to near the red ranks whether they're actually good players or not, pushed even further by stronger friends carrying their ass.
So what happens when there's not a squad of newbies searching at the same time as you, or just for arguement's sake, 6,000 squads of noobs and 6,001 killers? The game has a timer where once you've been searching it will just give you whatever party so you don't complain about queue time. So where's the other most populated area, most likely to have a squad waiting for you? Red ranks.
They need to seriously sit down and work out ranks in a way that makes them actually meaningful, and hopefully in a way that doesn't actually glorify the red ranks, so people are more likely to reach a rank they belong at and stay there rather than just zoom up to red ranks at lightspeed after a couple of weeks of playing.

Yep I hate how the game somehow thinks I'm hot ######### as a killer and will toss purple, red ranks at me while I want to try a killer I haven't played that much yet such as pyramid head or nurse and I get completely destroyed obviously. Then my survivor rank is somehow 2 despite I still cannot run away from killers for more than 10s most of the time. Then why do you rank me so high up? I don't understand it.

Oh my god I had that for a huntress not long ago, that is sad for this to happen. It hurts to see this happen, and at times I want to stop playing because of the the rank system

Nah, hes almost a devotion 2, hes not a 19. 15 I could buy, but im not buying that hes still a 19 with those perks and that devotion

Of course it doesn't but that amount of exp still puts him higher then a rank 19 by a long shot. At that devotion it's around 900 games or so he's played with probably around 200 some hours in game. That's a huge difference between someone who has just started the game even if he does play super casually and or is just really bad.
One again the matchmaking is awful no question but seeing him RQ when he didn't get rank 19 players when he himself is almost certainly higher then that, I don't feel bad for him at all here.
