Offering Presentation
The Offering Screen after the lobby countdown is no more
The first change is to stop showing what everyone has after the trial starts, and to betray secret Offerings' existances.
Offerings now show up in the following ways
General changes
These changes are the basis, but some Offering categories will have specific rules, you'll read them there.
If nothing is said about a specific Offering or a category of Offerings, these general rules apply to it/them.
So in general...
- Survivors can see what Offerings the other Survivors bring by producing the Offering's icon above their head in the lobby, which shows up as an empty Offering slot if they have nothing equipped.
- Offerings that affect all players (not all Survivors) will also allow the opposite party to see it.
- Hovering over an Offering shows you its description.
- Map-altering Offerings, despite affecting all players, are not shown to the opposite party.
- These are Chest-, Reagent-, Hook- & Realm Offerings.
- An example of how the "all players" Offering would look like to Killers in the lobby...
(This is the first picture that showed up on image search.
This old lobby obviously does not reflect our current lobby, but please ignore that fact for the sake of my suggestion.
This goes for all pictures here: All are outdated to some degree.)
Here's what it would look like for Survivors if the Killer put up an "all players" Offering, plus what it looks like if a Survivor has an Offering equipped...
Bloodpoint Offerings
- All Bloodpoint Offerings follow the general changes.
Event Offerings
- All Event Offerings will be considered as "all players" Offerings, and thus follow the general changes.
Luck Offerings
- All Luck Offerings follow the general changes.
Chest offerings
- All Chest Offerings follow the general changes.
- When the match starts, above the map's and realm's name, if the amount of Chests is altered, it will state the following for example...
Fog Offerings
- All Reagent Offerings follow the general changes.
- When the match starts, above the map's and realm's name, if the thickness of the Fog is altered, it will state the following for example...
Hook Offerings
- All Hook Offerings follow the general changes.
- When the match starts, above the map's and realm's name, if the distance between Hooks is altered, it will state the following for example...
Mori Offerings
- All Mori Offerings follow the general changes.
Realm Offerings
- All Realm Offerings follow the general changes.
- When the match starts, next to the map's name, if a Realm was successfully chosen (Common & Uncommon Realm Offerings still exist and are still usable), it will state the following for example...
Shroud Offerings
- All Shroud Offerings follow the general changes.
Ward Offerings
- All Ward Offerings follow the general changes.
Additional note: Unlike Common & uncommon Realm Offerings, Bouquet- & Splinter Offerings are not only not purchasable anymore, they can't be used anymore either.
Unless a statement comes out that says they can be purchased and/or used again, this idea will regard those 2 kinds of offerings as non-existant.
Conclusion
Firstly, this is to make it so secret Offerings aren't just secret in the sense of their identity, but also makes them secret in the sense that their existence is unknown to the opposite party.
Secondly, this makes sure you share your Offering's identity with your fellow Survivors and the same for you with their Offerings, and also makes sure that the opposite party knows if you put up an "all players" Offering or let you know if they did.
Finally, it provides more clarity of what happened to the map while not providing any more information than what you can get in the current version of the game.
Afterword
Apologies for the lack of skill in editing, editing was never my forte.
Oh, and this is just for Offerings, this is not about Killer Powers, Items, Add-ons and/or Perks.
Thank you all for reading!
EDIT: Made some changes to explaining the "General Changes", as well as making an additional note on unavailable Offerings.

I'd like this, people won't quit when they see a killer secret offering, people can all bring bps without having to message each other, survivors won't use two map offerings and can instead use one, and both sides are shown (or reminded) what offerings they used to effect the trial.
Don't see a single negative about this.

Its a good idea BUT when a killer brings a hawkin offering i will dodge and probably a lot of survivors.
also when survivors use a haddonfield offering im also out like a lot of killers. and everyone would just dodge how healthy would that be for the game?

Looks good.

I like this idea. I've felt all offerings should be hidden except for BPS/Event offerings to limit people quitting when the see an offering (usually map) they don't like or one of a few hidden offerings.

You can't see the opposites teams offerings unless it effects all players bloodpoint wise (such as bloody party streamers).

There are going to be negatives about this, i'm oh so sure.
One such example is: When the Killer sees someone's going to put up a Bloody Party Streamer, they might consider tunneling & camping them hard, to keep their BP as low as possible.
And i'm really not sure what i could do about that within this idea.
But i'm of the opinion that the positives, in that example, would outweigh the negatives.
The Killer doesn't have to think: "Oh, they put a BPS, so i will as well!"
But something like: "Oh, they put a BPS, so let me make sure i put a BP Offering so i earn even more!" would be a great mindset.
Or not caring about their Offerings would be fine too, they wouldn't be affecting the change in a negative way, so to me, that's automatically positive.
I don't know if this is a thing still, but weren't people able to avoid DC penalties from quitting during the Offering/loading screen?
Disregarding that DC penalties are off right now, this idea would also remove the incentive to disconnect if the Survivors see a secret Offering, or if the Killer sees 1-4 BPS Offerings and is either scared of the Survivors now or wants to waste their time.
But again, idk if it's still a thing, so i didn't include it in the main post.
