One, same crown for every character's default head and reskined items. What a thrilling event. Oh, I forgot about the offering, which you don't know how to fix for a fricking week.

But I understand, gotta work on those archives and new skins, so people can buy their battle passes.

    So what exactly would be needed to call something an event?

    the offering was not on purpose bugged, and they are working on a fix and even prolonged the event because of it.

    then you have your crowns, which gives every character something (except for licensed ones) so if you only play one and don’t care for others you might get something worthwhile out of the event for that char.

    also there are some cosmetics as daily login bonus.

    Events havent been much different otherwise. I missed out on the 3rd year anniversary, but essentially they've been like that:

    1. an additional objective in the game
    2. some reskinned items
    3. event-only cosmetics
    4. specific offerings

    That's been pretty much all the previous events. I mean, what else would you expect? Wacky mechanics being introduced? Personally, I wouldnt mind having BNP and Ebony Mori work like they used to do in 1.0 during the event. Would make for some quick games, that will derank pretty much the entire community back to green ranks, making it even more insufferable for killers and surivivors in green ranks. So thats a reason to not do that. Then what else in terms of possibilities is there to explore for an event? I wouldnt mind killers recieving an Event addon that makes their power shoot up confetti either. Like Myers getting sprayed with confetti when he upgrades his tiers. Could be fun, but then again, wouldnt exactly be "thrilling" now, would it?

    So really, complain all you want about the event, but I doubt you'd be able to create an event that doesnt really impact game play too much while also being "thrilling" by your standards. Come on, spit out your ideas.

    I love how they are putting as little effort as possible in every next thing in this game and people are still happy. Next anniversary event: extra generator to do.

    I enjoyed day one earning the skins. The rest of the event has just been using the gateaus to get 140% points on the killer.

    Yea, I would prefer to see a "whacky mechanic" in the game instead of this. It would add something fresh in this game.

    An idea for an event? Here you go.

    - Add an item, which when found by a killer or surv on a map buffs their one random perk x2 for a match. So, when you have Noed your speed increases 6% instead of 3%. If this would screw up balance too much they could just turn off ranking system during the event. MM is already busted so it wouldn't be a big deal.


    - Different idea? The crowns could be improved. Make a few of them, so I can get a better version of previous on every next Time I escape The trial with it. So, The crown for The First escape could be gray, next Time I escape The crown gets brighter and has some new details. There so much think they could do.


    This event ended for me after one match after I got The crown. I don't play other characters, so I don't need The crown on them.

    This breaks everything in the game. If any survivor who runs an exhaustion perk, it would either mean twice the length of the effect or half the recovery. Both are game breaking. If any survivor runs DS, that either means double usage, or a 10 second stun. Or lets say Pop, getting 50% generator reduction per hook, or Ruin having an regression thats faster than a survivor can progress a generator. Some perks are just barely balanced as they are, having any multiplier on them breaks not only the balance, but the matchtimes aswell. It just makes games last way too long or way too short. 5 minutes in queue? Here is a game that will be ended in 2 minutes, because devour hope only needs 3 stacks for the instakill to happen. Or here is a game that ends in 1 minute, because resillience and prove thyself allow duo's to fix gens faster than if they were to do gens solo. So yes, it would be a big deal, no one would be happy with that. Just because it seems like a fun idea in theory, doesnt mean it will translate well in practice.

    They could, but do you already realize how grindy it is to get all the crowns on all characters? The escape rate isnt even 50% at this point. You'd have to make crowns extremely easy to get. Heck, there are tons of complaints already because its too easy for killers to get one. I spend about 2 hours getting them on all killers, with matchmaking being the only reason for the games to last longer. But I had to spend nearly a full day grinding alone to get them on all survivors, because tunneling, facecamping, mori's and simply bad teammates are a thing. They could have done more, but back in the day when the requirements were higher(the donkey jacket on David and the wolf mask for Huntress for example, used to cost about 30 games of generator and hook coins to unlock both of them), some people complained because the events were too short because they could only play 2-3 games a day during the events and the event only lasted for 7 days, making the cosmetics too rare. Yet now there is a relatively easy cosmetic to get for almost all characters, and STILL everyone is complaining because they arent rare enough. You cannot satisfy the entire community, ever. If it wasnt for Covid and everyone would be back at work, there would be people complaining they couldnt get all the crowns due to work. And personally, I agree that the crown should have taken up a different slot, so you can wear them on your favourite head models, rather than the base faces of some characters(which, in quite a lot of cases, are the ugliest cosmetics). That is the one place in my opinion where they failed with this event.
