Cripple them All achievement not gaining progress (PC)

i was playing a bunch of trapper today and had 51 trapped survivors at the start of a game during the game i got at least 4 trapped survivors but when i went back to look at the achievement it was still at 51 so either the achievement is worded badly or not gaining progress i didnt pick any of them out of the traps just hit them or they escaped but the achievement just says "catch survivors in bear traps"
please look into this thanks
