Totem counter?
Would it be out of the question for each match to keep track of how many totems have been cleansed? It’s a pain in the butt playing solo & having to hunt them all down myself to check.
NOED is super popular & I know people say, “just cleanse the totems. Easy.” But it’s honestly just such a waste of time to hunt them all down. I just know I have to if I want to counter the NOED that the killer is likely running.
If you see a downside to this, let me know? It seems pretty harmless to me but I’d like to hear feedback.

I don't like the idea of a totem counter as base kit. @Orion suggested in another thread that Small Game could come with counter and I liked that idea.

Small Game, Detectives Hunch, Maps, Game sense / Map knowledge.
totems are supposed to be a waste of time, thats the whole point of them being HIDDEN around the map.
i would support a totem counter on Small Game, but thats it. that information should not be given to everyone for free, especially because of NOED (the perk is already medicore and we really dont need a shadownerf on it).

You made me laugh when you said that totems are "hidden" dude, that thing is always next to gens, and there are maps that anywhere is a ######### spot

It would simply be a QoL change for soloq. That's why bhvr is never going to do it.

depends on the map.
on new maps they are usually hidden pretty well, its just old maps that dont have great totem placements - and even there i have seen some really good totem spots.

This is one of few ways where Solo players could be buffed but nvm, devs know best.
The lack of support for solo survivors is only going to drive more people to play in SWF.

It's not a solo issue. As long as youre not in a 4 man group knowing if all totems are gone is quite impossible. Do 4 totems as a 3 man and neither your SWF nor the solo know if all are gone.

I agree with the people who DO NOT want a totem counter as a base mechanic. Adding it as a supplement to one of the totem-remover perks would be fine, but this element should come at the cost of a perk slot (just as with other "free" SWF perks like Kindred and Bond).
Not freely providing this information leaves the threat of NOED hanging over the survivors and can make them feel more vulnerable when on the cusp of escape. While I dislike being knocked out by NOED as much as the next guy, you can't deny that its potential existence adds a thrill to the end-game before it's presence is confirmed (or proven to not be in effect).
