So.. uncaging is 100% risk-free now..

You still can. The tunneling potential is only significantly weaker now during endgame. During the main game it's almost as easy to tunnel as it was before except for maybe on indoor maps. The main nerf is to Pyramid Head's information. Now he has no idea where the caged survivor is and more importantly no idea where at least one survivor is going to rescue him, and which gen they'll be hopping on together as soon as they've finished.

Killers - We weren't going to cages anyway it was too far away, no one was tunneling from cages
BHVR - We've removed cage auras
Killers - How are we supposed to know where survivor is now, un-caging is free now I can't capitalise on no BT/DS
lmao

I prefer grass fed.

That's hardly foolproof. If you just stand in the opposite side of the map relative to the cage he'd end up sending it right towards you.

Why would you cage someone during EGC when you have no control over placement or have to do it in such way where DS/BT would be a factor? The power requires a bit of thought. If it's their first hook, you messed up a long time ago, but you can hook, down and cage as long as it won't put them near a gate, then re-hook. If it's their second hook, hook normally with good hook placement, back off to prevent BT, and save the torment for the quick mori. The cages are still not randomly placed. Same spots as Plague fountains or Freddy alarms, and always the furthest possible spot from you.

It's true we don't cage often, but when we do, we lost our capability to capitalize survivor's mistakes. I have seen people legit wait for last second to save the person in cage, and i have already downed and hooked other people in between.

How do you back off to prevent BT? If you're that far, they can just body block their fellow friend and get out. Remember, PH has no mobility at all.

I agree, but it would be unbalanced between SWF and solos. Like everything else.

I'd prefer the problems you've stated than face a Pyramid Head who just camps my cage.

Yeah, that's my biggest worry about this. Survivors have it so easy in the end game right now. I get that it's supposed to be harder for the Killer to win, but it shouldn't be a cakewalk for the Survivors. I wouldn't be surprised if Killers slowly start DCing or AFKing once the last gen is finished in the future just because how much is stacked against them.

Honestly not really as much as you'd think. A single Survivor could do this setup on their own. And if it's really needed there could be a Kindred effect.

absolutely never happened to me in 8 damn hours, if it happened once I wouldn't call for a complete nerf of a killer just because of that 1 bad experience.

Cages spawn across map from you so you still know the area just not the exact location is all and you shouldn’t need to worry about ds and by like unless you are the type of person who made these changes happen by abusing the free tunnel

What a surprise, people complaining that they can no longer camp the cages.
If you want to camp try bubba.

Not easy for survivors though is it? Use NoED, Blood Warden, Rancor, all of which offer you a chance to get something out of endgame.
But at the end of the day if at least one survivor isn’t on death hook at endgame then you done something wrong as Killer. Also FYI as killer you shouldn’t have let all 5 gens get done.
PH & his cages was an issue, especially with camping. His power was not designed for camping cages. You still disable BT & DS among others as well as body blocking & flashlight saves.
Then again, not worth arguing with someone who is so blatantly killer sided when looking at their past posts.

Can we stop quoting a mediocre player like true?
His "Oh ma gah, bubba is so underrated" BS failed after what, 5 games after which he went on a rant? How many games did scottjund go 4king as SPEEDLIMITER BUBBA while true used an optimal build? 30?

Yes, it's easy for Survivors. NOED can be disabled before it has a chance to activate, Blood Warden can stopped by leaving the gates on 99%, and you still have to find and catch the Survivor with Rancor. The Survivor also sees your aura so they'll know where you're going.
So basically if all five gens get done, then I should let everyone escape and not even try to kill them at that point? Is that what you're trying to say? If so, then I won't do that. To me, the game isn't over until the last Survivor is either dead or has escaped.

It's not a complete nerf don't exaggerate lol
What if you played more than 8 hours and when the killer was released nearly every PH game went the way of him camping.
Now I've had games where a survivor has farmed someone out of the cage in my face before. I lose this pressure but I'd rather that than giving camping killers an easy tool to do it.

I personally don’t care about the change one way or the other. However, this is yet another thing bhvr allows to be seen one way in ptb, collects all the money from expansion purchases, waits a couple weeks, then completely changes the mechanic. Glad I waited to see what became of the expansion before purchasing it.
