PH Torment suggestion

In order to encourage killer players to use cages more often which I'm assuming was the intention behind creating the mechanic and make the cages beneficial to use after the aura change there are a few things that would be good to change.

1) Only remove torment from the survivor who's rescued from the cage.

Borrowed Time sets a precedent for bestowing a buff only to the rescued survivor. On release, BT affected both the rescued and the rescuer. Forcing survivors into trenches to give them the tormented status is too difficult to allow two instances of the debuff to be removed through one rescue action.

2) Allow the Tormented status to be more easily applied to survivors. 3 options for this include:

a) Extending the trench created by the killer in front of them a short distance so it can be applied when right behind a survivor.

b) By applying the Tormented debuff to a survivor who rescues a survivor from a cage.

c) By applying the Tormented debuff to a survivor hit with the ranged attack.

By making the debuff easier to apply, PH players will find more benefit to using the cage mechanic as was intended. Otherwise the majority may simply use the ranged attack and hook survivors like every other killer.

    I vote c.

Side question: does anyone else find the cage animation and caged survivor animations to be unusually sensual and just...weird to be in the game? The little, cute, wiggly bits don't really seem scary, and the survivor opening and closing his/her mouth (in silent moans?) while rolling his/her head around inside is not what I would expect someone to be doing in that situation.

Even then, those solutions would not encourage their use as long as the cages remove the status. Survivors should not get a bonus for doing something they should be doing already. I think there should be something like Freddys clocks, where there is an optional objective to get rid of the status, but it does not stop them from doing what they normally do.

This, plus making torment easier to apply, would make a natural slowdown that PH does not have right now.

1 sounds good. Every option in 2 has its own flaws.
