Emotes for killer and survivors
The devs should add emotes to the game to spice up playing a bit more. To have more fun as both killer and survivor like emotions while with your friends or when you're doing good as killer.
Please imagine this youve just been 4ked and on your dying frames, the last thing you see is wraith nae naeing on you or T posing. They could sell them for fairly cheep like 100 auric cells or like 2,000 iridescent shards. They would be fun for everyone to have and fun to do and I would personally love them.
Sincerely,
A player who'd love this

No, don't turn DBD into another fortnite. Killers already get pissed at survivors for teabagging and survivors get pissed at killers for hitting them while hooked. Don't need to add extra unnecessary things to the game to use to taunt.

I dont truly understand you're anology of DBD with emotes to fortnite. Its not a strong argument considering the only thing connecting them would be emotes. This game is also full of salt and stuff like that so emotes wouldn't hurt at all.

Reminds me of Friday the 13th where the counselor would stun Jason then dance on his head while Jason was recovering.
The concept of emotes would be fun but would undoubtedly be used in a toxic manner.
2 -
Well crouching is a part of the game as well but is used as a toxic thing most time during pallet stuns. Emotes would be extremely fun/funny even if used in a toxic way.

No emotes. Go play Friday the 13th if you wanna play a dancing simulator.
Id be down for two more default emotes though.

Well the point of emotes is to make you laugh and have a better time if you're getting steamroller. Just think of the possibilities of emotes as well which purchasing would help behavior keep working on DBD. Also in DBD there isn't much time to emote so it would mainly be used once you've won.

Fortnite is a game that emotes are more popular than the actual gameplay. I don't want DBD to turn into a game more focused on emotes than the game. Yes this game already has salt, there's no reason to encourage it with emotes. If survivor/killer has time to be using emotes to taunt the other side the Devs should find ways to increase the difficulty so that they do not have time to use them.

I know what fortnite is but the point of an emote is to be used during a victory. To have some fun instead of exit gate t bagging and smacking someone on hook.

Again, no. It's just going to increase the animosity in the community. If you want emotes play fortnite.

Many games have emotes, your clingyness to fortnite about it is unbecoming. Take time to understand the fun of the idea before ridiculing it.

Take time to understand dances don't belong in DBD, it's not that kind of game. Play one of the "many other games" that has emotes so you can dance in those.

You truly don't understand the point of emotes in a game. I was hoping that maybe you'd see but you genuinely are taking in the negative aspects of the idea. Think more about a subject next time before dismissing it but whatever.

You don't understand not all games should have dances. I was hoping you'd see but you genuinely ignore what kind of game DBD is. Think more about how unnecessary emotes would impact an already fairly toxic community before refusing to accept they don't belong but whatever.

I'm rank 7 with killer right now and am almost devotion 2 and just got back into this game this week. I enjoy this game and you constantly call them dances when thats not even the point. They are emotes which could be unique to just killers like a reference to their lore. Along with survivors too so they could flesh things out.

That's nice you're a rank 7 killer and almost devotion 2. Doesn't change that emotes are unnecessary and will just be used to be toxic. Community has enough animosity, it doesn't need emotes used for taunting when winning to add to it.

Well I brought it up cause it seems as if you're trying to dismiss me as someone new to the game who's a child. A good game to reference for salt is for honor a game filled with more bs than dead by daylight. It excicuted emotes perfectly as something to celebrate winning. If dead by daylight did something of the like then it would be fun especially if they were something lore wise; like have spirit fall into pieces or trapper go tinker with his trap.

No, I'm dismissing adding an unnecessary mechanic to the game that will not help the animosity that's already here. People already get upset with the current "celebrations" the other side does when they win, adding emotes will not help that. Instead of killers complaining about survivors teabagging at exits instead of just leaving they'll complain about whatever dumb emote they're doing. Emotes don't belong in DBD. You have "many other games" you can play to use emotes when you win.

You truly have brought nothinh of value to this discussion telling me to "go play other games" and with your train of thought isn't skins also unnecessary? Along with survivors too considering they have no abilities they're just a character model.

It's nothing of value to you because you don't agree and want to do little dances (like "wraith nae naeing") to celebrate wins not caring that it will only increase animosity that currently exists and really do not fit in DBD. "Go play other games" is because you seem to really want to just use emotes and not care if they actually belong in a game.
Skins/survivors actual impact gameplay. They can be used to make you harder to find (good for stealth) or have you stand out to attract the killer (good for those that do well in chases to distract a killer). Having different skins also allows survivors to be able to tell eachother apart when solo, makes it easier to tell who has already been hooked or not. You also can't taunt a killer with a skin like you would an emote.

It would become a circus and would destroy the atmosphere.
3 -
Wait you're saying the game isn't already a circus with all the Scooby Doo style gameplay of looping the killer nonstop?
0 -
Let's say... It would be even WORSE

I appologise if i found this absurdly funny. I consider myself not to be toxic but just the visual of this is so funny to me.

Before they buffed Jason, you could endlessly bully him with consecutive ten second stuns as you danced around him or you n his head if you had the correct perks.
The dance at 2:42 was the preferred dance to antagonize him.
0 -
P3 Blendette it's that easy to annoy a killer.

DbD is already a circus and doesn't give a ######### about balance. This would be a fun addition to the game even if used in a toxic maner cause of how funny/interesting it could be.

A killer being annoyed they can't find someone is completely different from a survivor taunting the killer losing with a victory dance.

Ah yes a realm of endless torment and horror, bloodthirsty killers. And steve giving a plague the L.

I mainly said stuff like that to mostly joke around and have some fun with the concept. I think it should be more used as lore wise emotes maybe just for the lobby. Like trapper messing with traps and huntress sharpening her axes. Possibly they could be used as alternative cleaning animations.

Okay I’m not going to bother reading the whole thread and just state my opinion on it.
I am HEAVILY against this. The emotes we currently have are for COMMUNICATION, “come” and “go” essentially. I wouldn’t be totally against character specific emotes that work with said character (Ace finger guns please) but random dance emotes and such would not fit at all. Besides, you’d have to have stationary emotes, if you used any emotes that moved forwards, backwards or sideways, there would be ways to avoid traps, cheese hits and would cause problems with the hit boxes.
Personally I would keep Fortnite-esque emotes far away from DbD but you do you.

The game simply isn't scary though.

I agree with them being more lore based like that. The main point of me saying nae nae was to be funny.
