New Franklins is OP as its currently described
At Rank 3, upon hitting a survivor, the item is dropped and someone has 90 seconds to pick it up.
90. Seconds. That's a minute and a half. In order to get my item I have to not only win my chase (Which after last mid-chapter patch has become much harder) but also run back to the area it was dropped in only 90 seconds. Ninety!
C'mon BHVR. Really? If dropped items work with White Ward Im fine with this, but otherwise that's way too damn punishing.

Maybe actually wait to test it out instead of immediately judging?

Hit a survivor as wraith. Wait 90 secs. DC. Bing bong your item is super gone
3 -
Then get the item back from the bloodweb.....I don’t see what is wrong with that

Clearly you don't play survivor. My trusty ranger medkit doesn't pop up too often.
3 -
nah, you lose chase, catch your breath on the hook then go back and look for your item that Claudette picked up.

Welp, better be careful with it, then.

Oh boy I guess my P3 red rank bill doesn’t mean I play survivor
Along with my army of P3 survivors

I'll definitely use on my hag, and trap those flashlights.

I just have a question @Peanits
Does this only work got items dropped with Franklins or any items placed on the floor?
0 -
It means nothing. I can level Nurse to P3. Doesnt mean I play her. Nice argument.

You are clearly blind as in order to be a red rank on survivor
YOU NEED TO PLAY SURVIVOR

Hopefully they change White Ward to counter loss of items. Otherwise its another smash in the face of using a White Ward.

This is one of the few uses I see for new Franklins. And I think it is fine, it gives the player the abiliy to play Hag against multiple flashlights and a chance to do something against them.
Same with Keys - it can be possible to get rid of Keys with that. Which is not a bad change at all.

Ah yes... keys.. i hate those things. It robs my game from 4k to 1k in so many matches today.

90 seconds is a long time in dbd
1 -
I know someone who was banned for doing this :)

Wait a second there, buddy.... I see that 1.05 million bloodpoints. What have you got to say for yourself?
0 -
Simple, during the gift of 50k bloodpoints marathon thing, the 50k broke through the cap.
What you think I am cheating on console?
0 -
I was kidding lol. It's happened to me too.
0 -
It not an army tho. It a squad of people with you leading.

OP?
I wouldn't even call the perk good, much less "OP".
90 seconds is extremely long in DBD, it now loses no charges on hit AND you see the aura of them on the ground so they are easy to find.
0 -
I have been told before that I was cheating because my BP, all that happened was my account had to get reset

During the daily bloodpoint giveaway thing a little while ago you got 50k per day. It went above the 1mil bloodpoint gap. So thats probably why he has it

The killer sees the aura of the item withing 32 meters, so he can tell when it disappears. That's actually a buff.
Survivors always had the ability to see the auras of dropped items.

It's not OP, it's just annoying as hell. It's a really good thing for going against keys but for other items it'll be just annoying.
0 -
No, Survivors only see the aura if they have Plunderer's Instinct. Otherwise no way to locate a tiny item on the floor. I'm iffy on the new change, not sure what to think yet but 90s will fly by.

Just went back and read,
"Reveal the aura of items on the ground within 32/32/32 meters in a white aura. The aura of items fade to red until they are consumed by the Entity."
I assumed this was just adding the text to match its function already. It doesn't specify it's for the killer. I took it as a caveat for the killer to know for newer players.
If you are correct I suppose that is nice. I still don't think it's worth running, but nice for meme's.

Yea, it was used against me yesterday, there is definitely no aura of the item to be seen.
0 -
Yeah my bad I use Plunderer's Instinct a lot, which is what gives you vision of dropped items. I forgot its not base kit.
0 -
Is it really worth it to camp a key for 90 seconds and lose 4 gens though?

New franklins is a viable perk*
Seriously, would you rather have your dumb flashlight dropped from your hand while having the choice to pick it back up in a duration or have your pallet stuns be basically ineffective (enduring). Or have to your gen highlighted to the killer whenever someone joins in the action (discordance).
They just made the perk somewhat effective, get over it and stop whining until the ptb comes.
