RIP Pyramid Head
Really scummy move to do such a huge nerf hotfix for a killer after we all spend the money on the DLC and bloodpoints for prestige.
not seeing the cages loses so much info and is huge hinderance to his power and makes DS/BT super powerful like they always were.
If only i could get a refund on this. Why should i even spend money on DLC for this game when it is just nerfed right after release, really scummy move. I was excited playing this game again but now maybe time to move on for good. I feel swindled out of my money and feel like Konami been disrespected.

DS and BT don’t work with cages, and this change only nerfed camping and tunneling....
You had no need to go back to a cage anyways

First off. The only thing unjustified was PH not being able to see the cages.
Secondly, Konami does not deserve your respect anymore.

This is an online multiplayer game. Everything is always subject to change. This is a risk you take in any PvP game, not just DBD.
And the nerf was 100% justified.

we finally had a killer that could fight against the insanely overused perks like DS/BT but right after everyone spent money on him he is ruined (they waited long enough so that we cant get a steam refund )

I have dumped so many points to make PH my first and only prestige killer and I’m still fine with him

Tunneling/camping was a huge feature of his power it is a legitamite playstyle. not sure how that makes me a "POS" when other perks encourage this like insidious.
They could have made it so they can uncage survivor at angles like on hooks to prevent facecamping.
At the very LEAST he should still be able to see the aura of cages, i mean come on....
and sure you might be fine? talk to me again when you have played him extensively at rank one like I have and have prestige 3 him like me.

As Freddy you kindof get an idea about which gen a Survivor is likely to be at based on your distance from the gen (usually the furthest one). It's kind of a hunch just learnt over time which is not based on anything other than psychology.
With PH however the distance and location of the cage is based on programming and therefore can be guesstimated with much greater accuracy. If Freddy can do it PH can certainly do it though at far greater delay due to having to drag that big ass knife half way across the zone.
Is what it is. PH nerf was always going to happen. Just adapt and become stronger despite it all and the Survivors will hate you for it lol.

It was most optimal to use the cage/final judgement mechanic on their death hook anyway. Because sending a survivor to the cage could potentially take two survivors out of the torment state.
I'm a rank 1 killer but watching countless Pyramid Head players rushing to the cage just to camp the cage was extremely lame. Pyramid Head is a solid killer you don't need to camp with him.

I has him P3 on the second day and since he has tons of cakes, BPS and puddings I’ve been playing him over half my games in red ranks... doing just fine and I would venture to say I very rarely even cage anyone.
Maybe that’s your problem you think caging should be his primary method instead of hooking

Yep this backs up what I said above, I used final judgement more than caging. The only time I really caged anyone was if I was unsure if they still had DS or didn’t have time to hook which is rare because I’m not a slugging fan anyways.
Sending someone to a cage gives two people the chance to get out of torment and I preferred for as many as possible to be in torment for their third “hook.”

This too. People act like getting PH was huge, and it’s great for fans, but let’s be honest Konami is in straight sellout mode here getting anything they can from their valuable assets

I do play rank 1 killer and survivor, and your P3 means nothing other than you have a lot of time on your hands, it doesn't mean you are good or skilled at the game, especially if you camp and tunnel to get there. It is zero fun and takes very little skill to 4k via tunneling and or camping, this has already been proven many times.
The fact that you think its the only way to win against strong survivors makes me think you are very ######### at beating good survivors who know how to loop, so you rely on the easy way out via tunneling and camping. You don't deserve to play in red ranks, that's green rank mentality and play style.

Camping and tunneling are not a strategy, they are just cheap play to 4k, and screw the surv team. Get better and you won't need the camp/tunnel crutch.

I won’t even argue if it’s legit strangest, whatever. But how do people have fun camping? Spend 10 minutes in a game staring at someone hanging on a hook and swinging at anyone that gets close?
I know video games are a waste of time but that doesn’t even sound like a fun waste of time

The only thing that is scummy was how PH was played. Also how should BT DS get superpowerful if they do not work on cages? Also Konami doesnt have anything to do with how the character works. Your whole post makes no sense.

So Devs said while camping is a strategy they will not reward it. So sure you can try and camp all you want but now you're finally gonna be penalized for it. And insidious was more for jump scares, not to sit around the hook. So maybe not be trash and actually be a skilled killer.

The people that are calling this a nerf are the ones that consistently went to the caged survivor immediately. Those who did not play like this see no difference. This wasn’t a nerf it was something that NEEDED to be changed and there’s a difference between that. I personally didn’t play like that so I see no affect.

As both a survivor and a killer main I honestly frown upon tunneling survivors when I’m the doctor.I understand that getting a single survivor out is to build pressure on the team.But let’s not forget about the few killers we come across who very well know going out of their way to intentionally ruin a survivors game experience is completely unsportsmanlike.

Absolutely, getting that first kill to go from 4-1 to 3-1 is a HUGE moment so I see why people want to do it. That being said I feel like they never play survivor, as someone who plays both 50/50 because of queues during morning and night I try to see it from the other side always.
As a survivor if I get tunneled or even tunne mori after the first hook I get why it was :done, but it still feels very unfulfilling

I assume he means since he won’t know exactly where the cage is he can’t get there in time to camp or tunnel... so BT isn’t needed. Who knows, he’s salty because he finally thought they gave him a killer to support his stupid play style

I think Killers and even most survivors agree that camping a hook once gates are powered is “okay,” I’ve also occasionally camped basement if I had 3 people there or 2 people there and 1 dead... it doesn’t make sense to leave when you k ow the last person had to come to you.
Like I said I think I most played from both sides understand camping, tunneling or slugging to a degree. It’s the people who literally hook one person and stare at them for 2 minutes that I consider lame

As someone who plays PH, this is fine. They gave us a notification at least so I can still get some information on the survivors location and try and guess their next move. Unless you really want to camp/tunnel I don't really see an issue with this change.

I think getting the notifications when they get uncaged is amazing, I can’t tell you how many times I wasn’t aware someone had been rescued

Uhhh how does this change anything? BT and DS still wont proc... so the only reason you would be upset is because you couldnt tunnel someone.

Just went against someone who clearly plays PH only because he thinks he tunnels and camps well. He literally never went more than 20 meters from the hook survivor all game, waited for each rescue with sword ready to down that person again, and of course had noed... luckily we all escaped but I imagine that’s the type of person who called this a NERF
