Since we're adding ability cooldowns, tokens, and timers...
How about a Survivor stamina bar?
It can be a cute little red box around their portrait that drains as they sprint and recovers after they aren't sprinting for a few seconds.
Crouching can consume a token when used with a max of 2 or 3 tokens that come back after a few seconds.
Per Sylorknag;
You forgot to use the Devs words.
"this change aims to give survivors more strategical thinking when running away from a killer, making them consider carefully how to spend their resources" _ Deadbydaylight dev team
Edit: For those of you confusing this suggestion with Exhaustion. I'm talking about moving while holding your run button. Nothing involving perks.
Edit: Per LordGlint's suggestion I'm letting you know that this discussion is brought to you by the word "Sarcasm".

That would be amazing :D

It works for the devs.

Imagine survivors thinking about when to use things.

5Head idea.

This is a huge NO. This means that the killer will always catch a survivor on a loop, even if the killer doesn’t deserve to.
This interferes with Deep Wound too, it would make Legion unstoppable.
For reference, Survivors move at 4 m/s, while walking I believe they move 3.8m/s or less, which is the same as Nurse. Nurse would not be punished for not using her power.
If the survivors couldn’t Sprint, that would also mean that they couldn’t perform medium or fast vaults, which also means that they can get grabbed even if they are healthy while slow vaulting.
There would be no 5 gen runs so killer would not be punished for tunnelling down a survivor and not defending gens. This goes against the whole emblem system so they’d have to scrap that too.
Can you imagine how many survivors would walk the entirety of a map to conserve their sprint bar? We already have enough people walking to conserve Sprint Burst.
Not mentioning every single other mechanic that goes against your idea, maps are far too big for this kind of idea... it would be like walking from one side of the map to the other with Nurse, no blinks or addons.
If you want to play a game where you can’t find a match as killer because no one is playing survivor, go ahead.
Everything about this idea is no.
Edit: Added some more points to explain how this idea is a no.

Its called exhaustion and has been in the game for awhile. Powerful abilities that require patience and resource management isn't a new concept especially for Survivors
3 -
Maybe survivors just spawn on the hook?
3 -
How about we just spawn survivors on the hook for killers.

Didnt you call me out for making "bait posts" around a month or 2 ago?
Maybe try following your own advice?

I'll listen to this suggestion the same way the devs listen to the feedback section of the forums.
I'll get back to you in an undisclosed number of months.

Don’t go exclaiming it’s stupid when the PTB hasn’t even come out yet! Everyone on the 4th Anniversary Livestream was screaming how Pyramid Head was too OP, the PTB came around and it was for lack of better words, sad.

Flashlight & Pallet Stun change during the Hound Event.
4 -
Yeah. Exhaustion is great! Too bad there's no exhaustion system already in the game for survivors. We can dream though!
2 -
No PTBs back then.
Almost the same when you pretended those changes lasted for a long time when the event wa 2+ weeks and the update was reverted in 3 days.
2 -
How long we thinking? Base, maybe 10-15 seconds of stamina?
Oh also, forgot. Fast vaulting is probably tiring, lifting your whole body with one arm and all. It should drain a chunk of stamina.
3 -
You know what.....
You make a valid point. Why can't survivors have a Stamina Bar?

For clarification, I’m a PC Nurse main, despite how all the killers whine about it, it isn’t awful. You gain one token while in fatigue and you gain another in about 2 seconds, you really shouldn’t be coming out of fatigue and blinking off again.
I will agree that the Billy nerf was uncalled for but I don’t think it’s going to be as bad as everyone thinks. They’ve made maps smaller so there is less distance for the Hillbilly to travel anyway, he’s still a 4.6m/s killer.

I forgot how hard it was to manage not running for a single minute.
You have such heavy tolls to using those incredibly powerful perks it's almost unbelievable anyone actually runs them with such huge downsides and management.
2 -
No killer cooldown is over a minute, you joke about how hard it must be to not run for a minute, but you're upset over cooldowns less than 10 seconds.
3 -
The length of the change is irrelevant to your point. They were deliberately implemented. "That does not stop the devs from adding equally stupid nerfs to Killers." Which is the statement I was addressing.
3 -
Just like punishing killers for attacking survivors with their abilities?
6 -
Nurse is nurse, usually when nurse uses her blinks onto a survivor, the nurse can almost instantly catch up with them once they are out of the cooldown, then just down the survivor they just injured. Billy is nothing like that, if billy gets into that cooldown during a chase, the survivor can likely take the chance to leave.

Because it doesn’t make any sense. Killers with cooldowns and such have them on their power, powers which allow them to teleport or go invisible or insta down, but survivors have no power to deplete stamina for.
1 -
And yet they are the easiest and most relaxing role to play.
4 -
You may have misinterpreted what was said. I wasn’t saying comparing Nurse and Billy on a killer ability level, I was comparing their nerfs. The person I quoted said that the nurse nerf was as awful as the recent Billy nerf, which it by no means is.
1 -
Yes but there aren't 4 killers in a match. Of course killer cooldowns need to be small or at least non-intrusive.
0 -
I really don't see the big deal about cooldowns, charges and whatnot.
1 -
THAT SOUNDS PERFECT. These survivor minded devs need to go. Implement some cool down bars to survivors

The only changes tested in this build were the emblems, nothing else, lmao.

Try Again.
2 -
You aren't chasing all 4 of them at once, are you? lol
1 -
The point of the post was to counter the claim that they didn't have PTB's back then.
Try again.
2 -
What the hell does something being relaxing have to do with the argument I made? If you can’t rebut my point it would be smarter to just not say anything.
0 -
i wonder how survivors would feel having perks and addons to compensate for the lack of Stamina.
Changing your entire kit, and build because of the Red Bar.
1 -
I inferred from your post that because Survivors didn't have a power to deplete that they didn't merit a stamina bar. My point (as round about as it was) was that the Survivor role is easy and a stamina bar would bring the effort required to play the role up a few notches where a survivor would have to think about when and how to run in the same way that a killer has to decide when and where to use their power.

Mm yes

My bad, misunderstood

You know without the blood orb/on hit mechanic oni's power takes over 8 mins to charge/cooldown right(.2 charges per second and 100 needed so 500 seconds).
0 -
I was just thinking the same thing lol. That whole skill-based argument the devs were making about Hillbilly is silly.
The vast majority of experienced players had no problem with Billy being able to keep his saw revved.
If the devs were against face camping with the saw revved, they should just come out and say it. Don't invent silly arguments to justify bad decisions.

I’m gonna have to say no only because it reminds me of F13 the game.Where Jason grabs you when your out of breath. The idea’s terrible because the killer will just get a hold of you when your out of breath.

Im PRETTY sure @SpaceCoconut was bein abit cheeky with this suggestion and didnt ACTUALLY think it should be a thing. Its more to make a statement about how dumb tying everything to cooldowns are.
2 -
Have you forgot about pallets?
3 -
Yes exactly the point. You are only dealing with 1 of them at a time. That's 3 of them not dealing or worrying about you and free to do whatever they want.
Hence, survivors need weaker and slower things and killers need faster and more frequent things.
1 -
You have to make a video on this. I’m sure is veterans saw this coming when the Chainsaw killers were experiencing bugs during the PTB of Chains of Hate.
As if survivor role needed to be easier anyway.
0 -
Ok, you win, you're right, however, doesn't stop the fact that you bring up the same point every time almost like there isn't a single other time since then that the devs have made a seriously egregious update that seriously was game breaking.
1 -
Have you ever tried running before? You can't do that ######### forever
1 -
I...you...
You are agreeing with him and adding to his point... yet you sound like you think you made a point against him...
I don't even... what?
it's exactly because the killer ain't chasing all 4 survivors at once that they get the long cooldowns, because the killer is busy with other people and the survivor has time to chill... did you even stop to think about this before speaking?
2 -
Pretty much this.
Well reasoned arguments feel like they fall on deaf ears.
Compare this thread to the one about last second swaps and that's basically what I mean.
4 -
A) The survivor role being easier and more relaxing is subjective. I disagree, I find killer easier personally.
B) Survivors already do have to think about how and when to run because they’re slower than killers and they leave scratch marks and make sound (when not bugged).
