Add-on passes
With another add-on pass coming to DBD, I noticed one thing.
Whenever they make an add-on pass, they seem to change add-on functions drastically. What I mean is, they go away from simple add-ons that increase Killer power duration, decrease power cooldown etc. in favor of "unique" effects (Wraith's no TR after uncloaking, Nurses's make everyone that You phase through scream, Nurse's I'm a normal speed Killer now).
So my question is, which type of add-ons do You prefer? Add-ons that improve Killer power numbers (cooldown, charge rate, duration) or ones that give You unique effects?

Unique effect add-ons (No TR, make survivors scream)
Unique effects. I find they actually shake up the gameplay and it makes it feel like you're going up against or playing as an entirely different killer; an example is hag. She has like 3 different playstyles depending on add-ons and body blocking hag is incredibly fun to play. Basically, it adds some depth and makes it even more mysterious when you see a killer who has these types of add-ons. That said I find add-ons and perks that make survivors scream incredibly obnoxious. And nurse's add-on I always find makes me (and a bunch of friends) lag massively when she blinks through me, meaning she gets a guaranteed hit afterward.
I find some of the raw number add-ons can break killers, like how ghostface has driver's license that makes him impossible to break out of his power unless you're literally inside him already.

Unique effect add-ons (No TR, make survivors scream)
The reason I prefer unique addons is because I want something that changes the way I play the killer. Of course you have a lot of variety in this game because there are a ton of killers, so as a survivor you have to constantly change how you play, but we could take it a step further with addons as well. For example, the way I play against damaging-traps trapper is wayyyyy different than how I play against a normal trapper. The pig, the clown, the huntress, etc are always played against in the same ways, regardless of addons. It would be the mark of a truly skilled player to be able to identify what kind of killer they were playing against and conform based on addons.

Unique effect add-ons (No TR, make survivors scream)
Unique effects are by far my favourite. Sure, a numbers add-on is fun here and there, but Mikey's been my favourite for a long time, and for a good reason. His add-ons completely change his dynamic, and he can be a very versatile killer.
Feel like playing sneaky? Mikey's got ya!
Feel like loud AF and walking in like a boss? Mikey's still got ya!
