Clown Buff
So as we know, clown is at the lower side of Killer Powers.
So ofc I have an idea, probably not the first time you're hearing this, but I have an idea for a buff.
So instead of giving him some crazy extra ability that makes him faster, or other things.
Just a minor buff that messes with the numbers a bit.
Clowns ability allows him to reduce survivor speed by 15% and allows him to cause survivors to always never fast vault while affected.
So, I was thinking... maybe up the reduced speed from 15% to 25% or even 30%
making it very deadly to get hit by his bottles...
ofc if anything feels too powerful. then lmk some ideas.

His chase potential is already pretty high if you know how to use the gas. I don't think this change would improve him significantly.

This guy is on point:
Clown’s only real strength is the ability to end chases quickly, a buff on that side of his mechanics would be OP. He needs map pressure. Perhaps a clown car that lets him ride across the map with a 1 minute cooldown. Not the best idea, but you understand my point. He needs something for map pressure, not chase strength.

Give him haste in his own gas. Bam, now he has mobility to help with patrolling and stuff.

I meant a minor buff that makes him just extra deadly, something that messes with already existing stats, like an increase or decrease, nothing new.

Making survivors even slower wouldn't change much. What clown lacks, is any lethality at all.
He always has to two hit survs (without a certain...not very well liked add on), and can't deny safe pallets really.

What if they simply allowed the gas to persist longer? That could lead it to being a more worthwhile zoning tool. But that could be pretty oppressive, depending on how long it persists...
Or what if they added a second ability: 'Gas Trap' or something like that. The clown could set his bottles like a trap, and when a survivor gets close it explodes in a poof of gas, causing hindered and alerting the clown. There could be a secondary resource system for that (like the Huntress and her axes), or they could tie it to his main ability... Like setting a trap might not allow him to use that bottle until the trap is sprung or the trap picked back up (ie. if he set one trap, he could only refill 3/4 bottles, etc.). Tons of possibilities.

Behaviour should hire you. Id add he should reload faster as well. Nothing stupid just a slight buff

Clown throws a bottle. Gas stays for 60 seconds. Any survivor inside gas suffers penalties to all actions. He can have 4 clouds at once. This would let him block off a gen or loop for a minute and allow him to go somewhere else why protecting an area.
1
