I have a question about matchmaking.

No, it's not one of those kinds of posts. I have a genuine question.

I'm trying to get my brother to start playing dbd. I don't have many people on my friends list that play (xbox) so it would be just the 2 of us swf with randoms everyone else.

My question is, I'm a rank 4 survivor and he'd Obv be rank 20. Would matchmaking match us with his rank, my rank or split the difference and go for around 10? Assuming matchmaking works as intended.

I could be far off as I've never really played survive with friends consistently, but I believe some matches you'll face red ranked killers and some matches you'll face grey ranks/yellow ranks.

Basically, you'll be facing people from rank 1-10 (your rank range) and 14-20 (Your brothers rank range).

Devs said that matchmaking will usually take the highest rank as priority. Now in theory it works like that but in reality somestimes it picks any rank.
