I just had an SWF rage quit 1 minute into game and I lost a cake for it

It's kind of silly to lose items/offerings when the game was only played for ~1 minute. I had a 3-man SWF rage quit because I found someone right away and downed them. Someone dive bombed hook instantly in front of me, so I instantly downed them again and rehooked. All 3 rage quit.
Wasted cake and addons. I don't get why there isn't protection against this.
Yet another thing this game fails at...
