Is killer currently easier then it was before?
So I see a lot comments saying that killer is a lot easier then it use to be. As most infinities have been removed, there's not as many pallets, no pallet vacuum, old ultra rare add ons have been nerfed, and other survivor nerfs.
However, survivors in 2020 are a lot of more optimal then they were before. Survivors are more objective driven, strong survivors loop more efficiently without having to use many pallets. Even bad red rank survivor players know how to be efficient with generators.
I hate to imagine what 2020 survivors would do with old DS, old infinites, old shack, pre-nerfed rare add ons, extra pallets, pallet vacuums etc.

Yes
you didnt have to be coordinated when you could instantly pop a gen and instantly shrug off a heal when damaged and then teleport to the other side of the pallet and loop your infinite and then someone's flashlight made you go blind in real life and then they go back to the infinite

Its mostly the map changes that made it easier. You can take a highskilled survivor like noob3 or zubat and put him on hawkins and he wont get much out of it. But put even a mildly skilled survivor on the old autohaven maps with 2-3 double pallet setups right next to each other and he will loop you for minutes. Then add the obligatory old DS and it felt unwinnable against anyone remotely efficient with pallets.
I still think that map/tile design has the biggest impact on balance. Even great survivors cant make much out of hawkins pallets, but would loop you for minutes on any old map.

Map fixes have helped a lot. There's still problems like early game pressure but if you know what you're doing you can usually get it fast. I win a majority of my killer matches so I'd say it's not so bad.
