Gearhead should be changed
This perk was not too good in the PTB (45 seconds and worked on good and great skill checks) but they nerfed it into the abbys and now, the perk sucks. So, lets say you hit 2 basic attacks (which kills the perk on killers like Trapper, Pig and Demo), so, what happens ? If a survivor hits a good skill check in 30 seconds, the aura of the gen they are working on gets revealed. It sounds good on paper but upon playing with Gearhead I realised that a sound cue doesn't occur so half of the time you won't even know if the perk worked or not. This is just not good and if the survivor leaves the gen, the yellow aura stays there for like 2-3 seconds so the useless power of this perk could be denied easily.
So, the perk is useless, you don't even know if it activated or not and it can easily be denied. So what can we do about it ?
My suggestion would be :
When you hit 2 basic attacks, the perk activates for 20/30/40 seconds. In those 20/30/40 seconds, the chance of a skill check triggering is increased by %40 and when a survivor hits a good skill check, the gen explodes and regresses 5%/5%/5%.
I think this would make the perk viable and it would fit the Deathslinger's "locate and impede survivors objectives" style. and it would fit the "You've got an ear for well-oiled gears" description of the perk AND it would reward players for hitting great skill checks.
You can tweak the numbers by the way.
