Why Can't the Rifts Stay?
I understand it works like other game passes and it makes players to play the game as much as possible, but what does this leave for new players? Isn't it more logical to keep any/all game content to encourage new players to try the game out? Like maybe the Rifts can be permanently tied to the Tomes or with/without the fragments gained from challenges and the auric cells removed from the tiers. At the very least, you should be able to keep it if you payed for premium. If not, they should be added to the store, charms included. And not everyone has hours of free time to play the game daily.

Cosmetics will be available in the shop 6-12 months later.
What is so wrong with time exclusive cosmetics anyway?
2 -
Yep. I don't see the issue. At least with DbD, the cosmetics will become available later. In R6, past battle pass items are no longer available to new players whatsoever. This also includes any events they've done that have had event uniforms/charms/skins.

What about if I pay for premium? I don't care about the auric cells gained from it and would just like to gain everything at a slower pace.

And what about the charms? We haven't seen a single charm in the store with the closest thing being Ace's lucky rabbit foot from lucky pants.

When you pay for the premium pass, you already know what you're getting yourself into. If you're buying it knowing you aren't going to finish it, that's your call. You're still able to gain BP from finishing the challenges after they're over, and eventually whatever cosmetic you wanted, but couldn't get, will become available in the store.

So basically my money is no good if I buy it and can't finish it due to unforeseen circumstances? Even if I bought every character/dlc in the game and bought cosmetics.

Yes. The devs have been upfront about how the rift works and even warns everyone when it's about to close. Does it suck if you pay for it and can't finish it? Yes. However, the cosmetics will appear in the store later and let's face it, most people buy the rift for that anyway. It isn't a big deal IMO.

Once again, you guys ignored the charms.

What about them? Who knows, they could add them to the store later. If you really wanted to earn those final charms from the rift, you know what you have to do. I get your point, but I really don't feel like it's a big deal. There's been 3 rifts and they've all worked the same.

The only difference is the characters and challenges. Some which are easier than the last tome and while some characters you're required to use are behind a pay wall.

Shouldn't be an issue for you. You mentioned you got all the characters. Your point? This is a non issue.

This topic wasn't just for myself. I made that clear.

So if it wasn't just for yourself, tell me, what difference does it make for someone who doesn't own all the characters have all the cosmetics available in the store at a later time? It sucks for those players who won't be able to complete certain challenges due to not having the required characters. But then again, the killers and survivors who the rift belong to are announced to everyone. Someone buying the battle pass knowing they don't have x, y, or z is on them and only them.

All cosmetics will be available in the store 6 to 12 months after their respective rifts.
Charms will never come back.

Maybe because people still want the charms or cosmetics for other characters besides them, but it'll be harder without having the purchasable ones to complete challenges requiring them which by the way are essential to unlocking all tiers in time. Same goes for their perks which the only other way you could obtain is wait for the shrine to have the perks needed every week. And if the player wants to buy all the cosmetics it would be 3-5 times more expensive than spending $10. And as I said before, unforeseen circumstances that can prevent people from completing the rift on time. Or maybe I'm just a dumbass that you all label me out to be. I don't really care anymore.

Thanks, wished I knew spending money for anything in this game would be a waste.

You already knew what the rift was, don't complain.

It's a timed battle pass, and the reason why is because they WANT you to buy into it and spend as much time as possible in grinding tiers. Why? Because BHVR, like many other companies that have these passes, know that some people couldn't handle missing new content like this. Why do you think they also continuously shove the rift into your face at the end of each match, and telling you that you levelled up even if you didn't win anything? If it wasn't timed you wouldn't feel like you're missing out, so you might not buy it.

All charactera thusfar on the rift have been available for purchase with shards and all perks when needed have been on the Shrine.

Because adding an exclusivity element adds pressure to buy it now or wait for however long till they cone to the store for a higher price then if you just bought the pass and unlocked them that way. In other words it's good marketing.

Skins are confirmed to be added to the store after 6-12 months.
Like 90% of the charms aren't really worth it either because they're a mix of:
- A recolor (ah yes the same charm but Red/White/Silver/Gold/Etc.)
- The same charm but with a minor-small edit. (Level Completion rewards mostly)
- Charms that are too small to even see what it is. (mostly applies to Survivor)
- Charms that are too small to see details on them. (again, mostly Survivor)
- Charms that are plain or boring. (Seriously why do I care about those Brown/Yellow charms when I could be using more interesting Purple/Pink ones)
- Charms that clip cosmetics. Really badly on some. (Mechanic's Coveralls on Dwight, Cargo Pants for David from a quick run through, the more puffy towards the Torso i'm guessing, also depends on how flat the charm is)
- Charms that are moved to/are in awkward position on some cosmetics. (Hoodies for Meg, Jackets for Claudette, ESPECIALLY Day Off Wrap on Feng, what the heck happened here? and Trench Coats for Adam on a quick run through)
- You shouldn't be looking at the charms in a match besides maybe being on a hook or passing by a hook and even then probably something better to look at during those moments.

I can complain however I like especially after all the reasons I gave. You guys think everything can be solved by spending more money and don't care about new players even if some of the changes would benefit you guys as well. Game passes only encourage overly active gamers to play the game but doesn't benefit casual players.

They want to create a sense of urgency by pushing and encouraging you to play their game more, working more hours into it. Cause they need players. Thus why right now instead of changing yellow items to event items, they took out cakes to give more event items for survivors, that and there was a lack of event item spawns. Now I'd be lucky to get 1 item every 2-3 webs. Meanwhile getting 3-4 possibly 5 cakes every killer web. To encourage killer players to play more killer.

It seems you are aware already on all the aspects of the rifts, so i will not go over them. Just want to point out that the Rift has a really interesting choice, which is to wait before unlocking the premium pass. You can wait until the last day before unlocking it, so you'll be able to have crystal clear view on what you are going to spend 1000 auric cells on (probably less since a portion of it will be refunded to you, until 100% of it if you reach tier 69).
Seems pretty useful to me... The game doesn't force you to buy it at the beginning blindly. 👍️
