Mori and key balance idea
So a lot of people say that they should completely remove keys and moris in order to balance the game but I want to suggest a completely different thing. Let's start with moris first: When the mori animation starts, there will be 6 different skill checks during the animation. The skill checks are like decisive strike/overcharge skill checks but a little bit easier to hit.. each of them grant 10% luck bonus (luck bonuses are stackable). Let's say you succeeded all 6 skillchecks and you have 60% luck. Now you have 60% chance of succeeding the mori. If you succeed the mori, you will kill the survivor as usual. If you the opposite happens, the survivor will instantly heal up one state and you will enter a 5 second stun. That survivor can't be moried during the whole game (even if you bring ebony), BUT if the killer has devour's hope, the mori will be done without any skillchecks and the chance of succeeding will be 100% (or maybe 80% at tier one, 90% at tier two and 100% at tier three.
Now keys: There will be two type of keys and each one of them can open the hatch ONLY IF the hatch is unlockable by that type of key. Lets say you have type 1 key and the type 2 hatch spawns: You can't open the hatch in anyway. But if you have the correct type : Once the hatch spawned, one survivor has to find it and clean the upper surface of it. This action takes somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds. Once the animation is done, the type will be shown on the upper surface. Once the survivor tires to open the hatch, there will be a 60% base chance of it succeeding. The hatch will be open for 30 seconds and will automatically close after 30 seconds.
Everything said above are just my thoughts and I want you to understand the whole concept. Maybe skillchecks should be wider, maybe hatch shouldn't close after 30 seconds, maybe the base chance should be 70%, etc etc. I would love to read your feedbacks on this suggestion. Thanks for reading.
