Pyramid Head slow moving after "hooking"

Friend got hooked by pyramid head in the basement and pyramid head got stuck moving very very slowly for the rest of the match. Group finished the generators and escaped before the killer even made the top of the stairs. From my perspective (spectating) I was spectating my hooked friend but was instead seeing the killer. Friend was frozen mid scream on hook with crows around him. Not sure how it was triggered. It seemed like pyramid head and my friend were merged and weren't separated.
