it is stated that she was in the forest at the time with a Russian army crossing through 
what happened to them

    She killed most of the soldiers that passed through. Obviously not all of them, but she did take out a lot.

    Maybe there is a survivor out there who we haven't been introduced to that is one of the soldiers. They say time works strangely, and the dimension is weird. Maybe he's adventuring with other survivors at another campfire, you know?

    The story say that a lot of german soldiers dissapeared while crossing the Forest.

    Then they mention the end of the war, and the fact that at this point she became more of a myth than anything else since peoples completely stopped disapearing. Not much peoples crossed the forest anymore tho, and the few maked it alive.

    What i assume is that she had indeed killed hundreds and hundreds of them in years, until she crossed the path of a regiment who will finally MP40'd her face xD.

    Then Entity come, etc...

    Doesn't the entity have control over who is taken ? Just because others are in proximity doesn't mean they have to be taken too, right ?

    if many disappeared without a trace it is assumed the entity has taken them.

    be honest 1 person can't hide hundreds of hundreds of bodies only equipped with Axes and a few hand made traps

    Wouldn't be more crazy than a Spider-God of chaos taking them progressively ahah :p

    And you know, it is suggested that this forest is quite huge and savage, and i think that the Huntress have others tool in her house than just wood axes ^^

    Forest's predators could have eated one part, she could have burried the rest, who know ?

    What is knowed is that she is extremely skillfull for huntings, hundreds of soldiers didn't died all at the same time, but in the course of several years, during WW2 (a chaotic period where there was worse threath everywhere than a mad bunny girl in a forest xD )

    For me she just encountered a skilled german squad near the end of the East front war, that finally shot her down (MP 40'ed lul ^^ )
