I had 39 cakes till i unlock pop. After all these matches and survivors tea bagging me i feel miserable on how bad this killer is. This dude doesn't need a buff but a total rework. Ugh.

I think I can guess the answer but were you getting matched with survivors around your rank?

I am getting Demo and Deathslinger up to 40 and have so many cakes on them now. It kinda sucks having those great offerings on meh killers but it just gives me the encouragement to try to get better with them. Or play them for farming if I want to get more BP.

Its just not my opinion. Other high rank killer players on twitch dislike his power.

I have 100 hours on survivor and reached rank 5. I have close to no experience with killer but i know a few perks to keep in mind, either by playing as survivor or watching people on twitch.

He's slow. His bottles are hard to hit on a chase. Usually i can hit a bottle when i can just walk and do a basic attack. Playing by the survivors rule book and hooking every single one of them 3 times when their rushing gens its hard... really hard!

I had games were i killed every survivor with him. But when they know how to loop properly it just really hard to be effective.

Clowns power just isnt that active. I know it has abilities and uses but it just feels so miniscule of a benifit

Or just... don't play by the imaginary rule book? Play more hours into a Killer until you get good

No. I don't like to be camped when i play survivor. I won't camp other people for a win.

His out of chase power is really bad but his in chase power is fantastic, you have to get used to the bottle arc. Also those addons don’t really work together, if you wanna learn a killer I would like to refer you to Otz

Dude, his bottles are not hard to hit in a chase. Maybe if you're in something specific like Lery's where there's a lot of walls and turns that survivors can go around to not get hit by a bottle. Most times though if you have a decent line of sight, as if you were playing Huntress trying to hit a hatchet, you can close the distance between you and the survivors significantly so long as you're used to the arc of your bottles. You can even pull off some neat tricks by throwing them over stuff to prep for where the survivor is about to be, if your aim is good enough.

I think for the most part it might be your perks (it's hard to tell since you aren't showing them) and current addons being relatively limited, since you seem new to the game. Trust me, it gets loads easier once you actually get your hands on some good stuff. Until then don't worry about it too much, just be proud of the things that you learn along the way and the victories you can get while learning.

Hitting survivors with the bottles. Using bottles to cut down chases. Is there a way to use bottles to avoid breaking pallets or do i need to break the pallets anyway? I mean, i put 2 bottles in each side of the pallet and i still feel like i need to break the pallet. Is am i right?

@Huff The perks are in the picture. Bamboozled, pop, save the best for last and b&q. I should run Infectious Fright instead of b&q, but that's what i got. About the addons... i'm not gonna waste more bloodpoints on clown then the ones needed for the perks. I just want to burn through those cakes and focus on freddy.

@DudeDelicious In this kind of loop. The pallet its dropped. I have bottles in both sides of the pallet (on me and on survivor). I need to break the pallet right? Cause if i go around they just play the pallet over and over.

@Clown I won't. But after 100 hours plus a ton of DLC's just to set up freddy properly its really tilting me.

The black circles are obstacles. If i go around without breaking the pallet he will just vault the pallet endlessly. The question is if i should break the pallet or do anything else.

I mean your available perks and add ons. Not the ones used just one game.

I'm just saying after a certain point, to me it's when I hit P3 and don't have to reset anymore, you start building up a good amount of high value offerings and then it really isn't as bad as it might have been in the example game above. That game was using browns instead of the potential greens or purples, or even iridescent ones you could bring. I'm sure you'll have less stress in due time.

You could just suck with Clown. And I don't mean that in a "git gud" kinda way, either. Not everyone can be good with every killer. Each killer plays differently, and certain playstyles are better for different people. For instance, like 90% of this forum talks about how bad Legion is, but I'm better with Legion than any other killer. Except scratched mirror Meyers on Lery's, but that's a completely different story. Personally, I like Clown. But, similar to Legion, I've found he works better with a slow down build, which is what I like playing anyway.

I play Legion and CLown the most and while they are both fun to play, I go in with the idea that I may not win, it's ok, I play for the BBQ stacks and get my BP on, sometimes I 4k, sometimes they all get out. thats how it goes. Hopefully one day these two killers get some number buffs. No entire rework, just minor number tweaks would do miracles for both.

Are we bros in another life? I change out M&A sometimes for STBFL but spot on.

    Clown and Legion all day.

This is my build but I switched out Discordance for Nurse’s. I get so many sneaky downs as people just don’t expect you to be as close as you are.

Also keep in mind that abandoning the chase is an option.

If you find that a survivor is just really great at looping and is at a really strong loop, sometimes the best play is to walk away and pressure someone else.

You'll keep pressure on gens, and you'll either find someone easier to catch or you'll find the same guy from before but out of position and easier to hit. Of course, you still want to get better at handling the good loops, but even the best killers need to walk away sometimes.
