Can Midwich please get some more windows, safe or not?
Midwich elementary makes me a die a little inside every time I have to go to an unsafe pallet or god window every time to stay alive. Does anybody else think it needs a few more windows and maybe even stairwells? I wish that one place wasn't blocked by breakable walls :\ But anyways what y'all think Midwich needs?

Midwich needs to be deleted

Respectable.

Besides maybe the first couple of times I played midwich, I've had positive experiences playing the map. I actually think its quite survivor sided if you know how to use the pallets.

i think the destructible walls are a nuisance. Needs maybe more windows and no walls.

Midwich needs more dropdowns and a review of its windows. At least one of those windows is completely safe for the Survivor.

It's survivor sided in the worst way possible. All midwich is just a bunch of straight lines. All survivors really have to do is hold w in a hallway and eventually try to play around a pallet or vault in a side room when the killer gets closed.
It'll take most killers a good minute or two just to even get a down against a survivor who can just hold w as there's not much a killer can do to cut off a survivor and there's not really any loops to play around.
It's just boring for both sides. There's no real mind games to play and not many ways to really outplay the other side.

Trying to think, which one are you talking about exactly? Most of them come paired with a breakable wall, but I'm curious. But definitely needs more dropdowns.

Thank you! It's so braindead, survivors just stay away, but once you finally catch up, it's either a god pallet or they die.

they're saying one of 2 things about Midwich's godly design.
- All of them are exorbitantly safe while the wall is up, forcing the killer to break them to be able to play.
- The windows that cross between rooms are extremely safe even when the wall is broken.

It's on the second floor that's between two rooms and at the end of a wall. The Killer has to go all the way around it to reach the Survivor. Even breaking the wall doesn't do that much because the Survivor can just vault back over and waste a good amount of time. If you're right at the window and the Killer can't get a hit, they have to keep running around the wall (and it's a long wall, not as long as Haddonfield's fences, but still long). I think adding a hole or breakable wall to the middle of it would help out.

What i feel Midwich needs is for someone to press ctrl + A, then delete

Really? I find treating that like an unsafe pallet works wonders. Just have 'em vault it thrice and it's blocked and they're basically dead meat. Those rooms usually only come with either absolutely nothing aside from the window, or an unsafe pallet. Which both are basically a death sentence to any killer who can follow a survivor. But I wish they have a better route. Those windows are so out of the way of everything that going to them usually only works as a last moment resort.

I played Midwich earlier and it felt like the Survivor was too far away when leaving that window. I was playing Freddy (115% Killer) but still felt too slow to reach the Survivor in time.

Yeah, it's really not fun on either side IMO. Too long to find people, too boring of chases with hardly any mind to game.

As much as I disliked Midwich when it first came out because I didn't know the layout of it.. now I wouldn't want it to change. Yes, there aren't many ways up or down.. but there's a staircase in two opposite corners, and points to vault down in different places.. and at least one other way to go up (the fallen down ceiling)
It's one of those maps that grow on you! Not all maps need to be super safe and have super strong loops! Some maps are better for one side or the other.. and heck some maps are great for certain killers and bad for others.. I know I love indoor maps on Pyramid Head! Sniping unsuspecting survivors through walls is the best thing ever!

Midwich is HORRIBLE. New map already needs a rework HAHAHAHA. I hate it as both killer and Survivor

I get that, it is cool. I don't like the fact they made on stairway completely breakable walls though, that should always be accessible IMO. But the way survivors run on it... it feels so disconnected. Like how some maps may have a Z wall nearby that you can run to before going to that jungle gym, this has hardly anything to interact with beyond a couple windows and many unsafe pallets. It doesn't feel dynamic if that makes sense. Hawkins is (weirdly, and only recently) one of my favorites bc it has changing routes you can run depending on what pallets are dropped/broken. And as killer, not all are necessary to break! It's just cool IMO bc it has different routes to run but Midwich feels like nothing in it is very connected, minus a few things. Although I LOVE the siren sounds and those make it totally worth playing.

Honestly I keep hearing about that blocked off staircase and never saw it.. I'll have to go out of my way to look for it next time I'm playing killer on that map haha

Oh and also.. earlier today I had my very first game where the hidden clocktower room got opened! so I laid out a sacrifice for the entity in front of it.

It's in the upstairs bathroom! Weird that they block it off as it seems so detrimental to gameplay when it's closed, but I guess it works.
Ah, the perfect ritual. You beat Dead By Daylight.

Too bad the sacrifice wasn't a Cheryl, seeing how I was playing Pyramid Head.. oh well!
