Connection Lost: Server Connection Error, cannot SWF or KYF

I'm on pc using steam, and as of yesterday, I am suddenly met with a message that says "Connection lost: Server Connection Error: Some Social Features May Not Be Available" every time I try to invite friends to my lobby. My friends can play together just fine, but they don't receive my invites and I don't receive theirs. I've seen questions on the steam forums covering this topic, but none of them have found a solution. I can solo que and play killer just fine.
