How would you guys feel about sleepy hollow chapter
With johnny depp as a new survivor paragraph imma be honest i would be totally excited for something like that. Let me know your thoughts
EDIT they could also bring the horseman in give him his power of throwing jack o lanturns and just place his horse on his map as an easter egg.

But why not the headless horseman as a killer?

Whether or not they specifically base it on the Johnny Depp version I love the story and would love to see something like that in the game. I agree they'd probably stick to survivor only because doing a killer on a horse would be pretty difficult, but it would definitely be cool to have a headless horseman in the game.

It would be cool to see that but the odds for a headless horseman coming to dbd are very low it would be kinda weird having a killer chase survivors on a horse.

Give Huntress a Legendary Sleepy Hollow skin and have her throw pumpkins. =]

I'm a rather big fan of Sleep Hollow...

You should check it out its a good book series and the movie was also very good.

SAME i love it!

It's a great idea, but the horseman's horse is a big part of his character. They'd have to drop it to make the headless __man a killer in the fog.
Although, throwing flaming pumpkins would be amazing on a horse or not lol

Anything with Jack-o-Lanterns is good in my book.

They actually could get rid of the horse and maybe put it in as an easter egg like on clowns map there are scenes where the horseman actually would leave his horse so it could work out.
3 -
I mean, i wouldn't mind him without the horse
1 -
Yeah it would actually be a good idea to put the horse in as an easter egg like on the clown map its possible to just bring the horseman in and put the horse on his map!

I'd absolutely love that, with or without a horse, pumpkin head even, and a Mori with a decapitation🎃

I think Sleepy Hollow would be great. It wouldn't even require Depp or Sleepy Hollow license. Washington Irving wrote the short story 'The legend of Sleepy Hollow", but I'm not sure if anyone owns the license for A Headless Horseman as the folklore of headless horse riders had been around well before Irving wrote his book about Ichabod Crane.
I'm not sure where the license for Ichabod Crane lies or if one would even need to be procured.
The Headless Horseman, is an iconic killer, but his horse kind of makes him the killer he is. I'm not sure how you could have a horse in dbd.. talk about cross map gen pressure, but 0 to no looping due to slow horse turning. Maybe he'd have like a phantom steed that rushes akin to billy saw or spirit invis(i'm thinking that gross deathly looking horse on the carnival map), but he hops off at arrival and chases on foot.. throwing his pumpkin head at survivors would be awesome!! He could even, instead of stomping on pallets, summon spectral steed to rear up and smash them with front hooves.

They could just bring the horseman in and place his horse on his map as an easter egg it could actually work out that way.

Headless Horseless Horseman?

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow written by Irving Washington in 1820 entered Public Domain onJune 27, 2008.
Public Domain means that anyone can use the material because the public owns it.
They could if they wanted to with no licensing fees to worry about.

When people say Sleepy Hollow my first thought isn't Johnny Depp. It's Tom Mison tbh.

Well books was an option in the survey, so The Headless Horsemen would be quite cool. Along with other book/folktale characters like Bluebeard or Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde

I think a horse could work.. think Billy's Saw run. Horseman calls for horse(phantom type steed) and has about the same control as a saw charge on steed and could 1 shot with a cutlass, but would obviously suffer same stun penalties if the steed ran him into an object.. where the steed would continue to run, but dislodge him from the horse (either warranting another summon or going on foot).
Breaking pallets, same spectral steed called in to crash down on the pallet and then runs off(but with animations that require the same time as a normal pallet crush). I'm thinking of horseman not attached to a horse, but the horse as a tool(ghost horse companion with little to no control).. even the summon.. like it is running by him and he latches on to its neck running near straight lines to either slice with cutlass or jump off some distance traveled. Horse is always in motion and moves through objects, but rider does not.. causing stuns.

I mean, I love Depp and this movie in particular (have watched it ten times already), I read the book too, so I'm up for it!👍️

Woah woah woah I was super excited when I saw this thread, and then I became super disappointed.
I'll be honest, I don't give a flying fig about the 1999 movie starring Johnny Depp, just not my cup of tea though I have a lot of love for the actor himself.
HOWEVER,
If you would be talking about the 2013 show I would actually be all in. Chips are down, the first time I'd actively push for a killer ever since Ghostface finally released.
Literally one of my favorite theme's in all of TV. It's creepy, it's spooky, with a twinge of sorrow, and it fits the tone of the show so well.
I love the look of the modern headless horseman full equipped in revolutionary war attire as a murderous redcoat, and holding a broad axe, the edge of which glows with heat
Even with his head he had this bad-ass mask
This is the headless horseman I'd love to see in Dead By Daylight.

I would love to see the head cosmetics they would come up with :)

Holy ######### I don't know why I never thought of this! I would be so hyped for a Sleepy Hallow chapter!!

Johnny Depp as a character in Dbd? Sign me up.

But how would you flash blind a headless horseman? 😆
0 -
the same way you blind demo, nurse and PH I guess?
0 -
I mean.. Demogorgon technically doesn’t have eyes as well but you still have to aim at the area where they should be..

I know, I was just being facetious. Personally, I'd love to see a Sleepy Hollow chapter.

figured <3 and yeah, it'd be great
I think even giving him a horse could work similar to Oni's demon rush maybe?
0 -
I have no idea what that is so I don't have any preferences either way.
0 -
It actually is a valid question. I mean all the other killers at least have a head
0 -
All they'd have to do is a small scene as killer where he arrives on the horse, and then gets off and the match starts.

Shiiiiit this is the coolest thing I’ve read in a while. I’m a big fan, so I’d love for this to happen.

I could see it working with the Headless Horseman. His power could potentially be the ability to summon his horse and traverse the map similar to Oni or Billy. A survivor on death-hook being hit by the Horseman while his power is active could behead them similar to the mini Mori that Pyramidhead is capable of.
Picture all 4 survivors on death-hook getting decapitated by an elegant rampage.

######### yeah! I love sleepy hollow. One of my favourite stories and movies of all time. Also love the TV show. I would absolutely love having a headless horseman killer.
1 -
Definitely, even if it isn't the Tim Burton version sleepy hollow it would make a great DLC.
Mobility killer summon the horse to traverse the map but can't hit people, in walking mode throw a flaming pumpkin and swing a sword.

I would really love it.

Omg I really never thaught about that option, but I would really love it! I'm a big fan of Johnny Depp and having him as a survivor would be great!

I'd love that! I'm a fan of the movie!
