Why Ebony Memento Mori even exist?
Rare, one game, you need to buy it, whatever.
This one game is basically ruined for 4 other people. Waste of time. Killer will win, if he is not rank 20 or something.
EMM breaks the basic rules of game, there is no counter to that, and other players will know when its already too late. I mean, after one death it is a lot harder.
I dont understand why this exist at all. To give killer free win? Why even bother with playing then?
For example i think NOED is very balanced. Endgame free hit? Fine, 95% of game killer is using 3 perks only, and on top of that survivors can find totem, sometimes even after game starts. Damn, this perk is almost a waste.
But EMM? This one breaks the whole game from start to finish. Every single time. :/

killer needs to hook the survivor first.
personally i only use it when I have a challenge open to kill all survivors in a single match, and only then

I don’t know what you are talking about
Mori’s are unbalanced yes, but not enough to break the game entirely...and how the hell does an offering break the rules?
They allow the killer to apply immense pressure quickly, however with them losing much more overall BP
Luckily, Devs are looking into Mori’s and Keys and planning on changing them

Rules are - 3 hooks and you are dead. Simple.
EMM - 1 hook and you will die... also it is a secret, so basically killer have one free kill before anyone will know ######### is going on. And good luck with those gens in 3 vs 1 match in sudden death mode. :)
Lets turn this around - why survivors dont have simple ultra rare offering "-1 gen to open gates". Already i can imagine killer topics about game breaking offering in games, where they fixed just one gen and escaped...

The same reason why keys exist, to ######### one's day

The survivor equivalent to moris are keys. I agree with your points but you can still get screwed over as killer.

You can die in two hooks or even first hook
No rule exists on how many hooks it takes to die, only a limit which is 3, and Keys are the survivor equivalent of Mori’s as its considered a “free escape”
And probably every person who plays DBD already knows when the offerings doesn’t flip, someones gonna get mori’d

Honestly we had a killer who brought noed just yo get no kills from a key

Uhhhh Because there's 4 survivors, and only 1 killer? And the killer, on top of needing to hook you once also needs to succeed a SECOND chase against you and then go through a lengthy animation. 2 chases plus one half hook timer, if you're anywhere decent, thats over 2 minutes, and each survivor gets that. 8 minutes is more than enough time to gen rush and get the hell out. Its POSSIBLE, to win. But keys? I cant get rid of a key without once specific niche perk, and as soon as they do 3 gens, they find hatch and its game over. Unless I camp hatch at spawn, I cant counter it and I have ZERO chance of winning. Keys should be individual and only work on the person who used it.

I don't know why people keep saying this.
Keys are NOT the equivalent to mori's in any way, shape, or form.
Brand New Parts were the original counter to an ebony mori in their original state (this was when mori's had no hook requirement).
Adding one hook state to an ebony mori does not qualify a key to be the equivalent.

Why not? They both get the players far closer to their goal without any extra skill. A mori can get you killed for no reason, A key can let your targets escape for no reason.
