Perk Tiers

is there really a point to perk tiers other than giving a disadvantage with lower quality tier because you didn't grind as much.

Thoughts on perk tiers? Should they even exist?

It's to make you use more blood points (aka playing more)

    Thoughts? I’m okay with it.

I feel like we could do without them, but there are far more pressing issues at the moment.

They existed to prolong progression in the game's early days when there were 4 survivors, 3 killers, and only ~20 perks total available for each role.

Now that we have like 40-50 characters total between both roles (and about 70 perks each), they are more of an unnecessary nuisance.

I'm of the opinion that DbD now has enough character and perk content that removing the perk tiers would be a huge QoL improvement for the game (and probably improve new-player retention). I'd imagine it would also ease some things on the development end too, as Devs could just make and balance a single perk (instead of needing to balance that perk and create two weaker versions of it for the lower perk tiers).

Perk tiers are not needed. We have over 50 perks now and with 3 tiers you would have to get a perk from a bloodweb over 150 times ON ONE CHARACTER. I've been playing dbd since release release 2017 on ps4 and just recently i got all killers p3 with all perks. We dont need perk tiers.

A common arguement is tiers make you want to come back and grind for more.

When in reality i hear more people complain about the grind than say they want to comeback and max everything.

One thing I would definitely change: have all tiers the same colour:

    Tier 1 = Yellow

    Tier 2 = Green

    Tier 3 = Purple

    Simple.

Perk tiers is unnecessary at this point. Only makes it more grindy.

At one point tiers were fine. Now there are way too many perks. Tiers should go imo.
