Deathslinger addon rework:
Deathslinger basekit is what i'd call very much the middle of the line when it comes to killers atm. he has good chase ability, applicable on a majority of maps in the game, yet does struggle a lot at high ranks. His addons outside of his reload addons have a very minor effect on his kit, and whilst thats not inherently a bad thing (having a good killer at base, over having a killer only viable at high ranks with addons, is never a bad thing) these changes im offering up are there to make him feel a lot more viable at all ranks of play without making him inherently stronger.
Hellshire iron : decrease time for aura to 4s. global aura reading however. (this is due to the fact that when a survivor is speared, you can't look around much, so just having the extra distance alone is incredibly helpful, expecially with deathslingers low terror radius)
Prison chain : when the chain is not colliding with objects it does not lose charges. the chain is also 5% longer.
Bayshore cigar : when survivors break free of the chain, stun is shortened ( -1s) and you see their aura for 5s.
Bayshore gold tooth : reeling speed along with an increase in chain length (20%)
Honey locust thorn : Survivors downed after being speared, scream and reveal other survivors within the deathslingers terror radius.
Tin oil can : -1s instead of 0.5s on missed shot cooldown.
Wanted poster : increases movement speed by 15% when aiming down sights, and after a successful m1 attack on chain hit, grants the broken status effect for 60s.
Chewing tobacco : Stun is shortend by -1s, and reloads after survivors break free from the spear gun are 50% faster.
Jaw smasher : increases movement speed by 10% when aiming down the sights, and after a successful m1 attack on chain hit, shrinks terror radius by 4m for 60s.
Rusted spike : mangled effect now lasts until healed, spearguns range is now 5% longer.
rickety chain : chain is now 50% longer in addition to current effect. current effect now only applys to chain going through objects. (allows for super long range shots, however becomes punishing if theres any object in between the deahslinger and a survivor.)
snake oil : reeling speed and chain length by 10%
With these changes a lot of builds become far more applicable, from anti healing, to sniper builds. to taking away punishments from missed shots and survivors breaking free, to actually giving benefit to the killer if they allow for something that would usually hinder them resulting in more unique playstyles. The hellshire iron becomes far more useful showing far away survivors to later sneak up on after your out of a chase, and the iridecent coin, becomes more useful when paired with the chain addons, allowing one to go for far off shots (with potential for the chain to break) whilst not punishing the player for over extending their aim. the rickety chain expecially becomes a very neat addon to use, allowing you to punish players running away from loops more heavily, whilst punishing the deathslinger for its use within a loop turning him into a sniper.
Anti healing is now applicable as well, paired alongside mending addons, his mangled addons now act as an alternative to sloppy butcher, and when paired with the broken addon, allow you to leave survivors for easy pickings later on top of the mending they have to do, slowing the game down a bunch.
