Stuck on Pool of Devotion in Hawkins

A pool spawned on top of one of the shelves, where there's a small stepladder leading up to a higher elevation. When I activated the pool, I became stuck in place and couldn't move. Some survivors came over to try and help out. Downing and picking up one didn't dislodge me, and I couldn't set them back down after. When they wiggled out, I believe they also became stuck in place.
We spent a few minutes healing and downing before one of them tried to purge themself on the pool, at which point I was able to grab them mid--action. This finally dislodged us both.
