This is the actual balance of the game

Right, I know you must of seen that title many times of some poor bullied killer complaining it's survivor sided or a survivor who was just destroyed by a spirit who wants to complain that killers are too OP. Well as a guy who has run just about every type of matchmaking there is, solo queue, survive with friends and killer I can tell you that this game is much more balanced then people are willing to put on, now before you start quickly typing up your angry comments to ######### about spirits disappearing animation or blendette's let me give you some arguments from both sides and why after all of this, at the end it is actually a rather oddly balanced but balanced none the less game.

Killer sided arguments

  1. Spirit randomly disappears while in a chase making her an OP looper. True, this is rather annoying.
  2. Killer can camp hatch and block it for survivor, taking game hostage.
  3. Killers have partial vacuum hooks.
  4. Killers can hit me when I'm through a window after vaulting.
  5. Michael Myers has infinite exposed and can kill me, too OP.

Survivor sided arguments

  1. Gens are done too quickly
  2. Killers like wraith have been nerfed to the point they aren't viable in the current meta.
  3. Survivors have perks like decisive strike and head on to screw killers over
  4. Blendette's and other people with the power to disappear around corners
  5. Survivors have insta heals.

Right now these are some of the most common things i have heard about when people moan about which side has it the easiest, well let me break and debunk some of these arguements into how the game is actually balanced.

Killer arguments debunk

  1. Spirit randomly disappears while in a chase making her an OP looper - Survivors have plenty of perks to get TF away from killers and even more that allow survivors to quickly vault and lose scratch marks and jump into lockers without noise, But once the killer catches up to you then it isn't like survivors are always going to get away, its almost inevitable the killer will get a hit, all killers.
  2. Killer can camp hatch and block it for survivors, taking game hostage - Well while they are blocking go do a gen or something, if they follow you then try and loop them and 180 on them to get to hatch, if the killer leaves you but then starts coming for you, have an exhaustion perk like DH or SB and make that window of opportunity count.
  3. Killers have partial vacuum hooks, While yes this is true most the time you should try and avoid hooks, because your team mates shouldn't have to do a last second save at hook, give them room.
  4. Killer can hit me through the window after I vaulted - The killer doesn't have an invisible wall at windows, they can swing through those gaps, just cause you got lithe doesn't mean your invisible while vaulting.
  5. Michael myers can have add ons that allow for forever exposure or for insta kills while not downed - Dont let him stalk you, those add ons require him to stalk much much more for them to activate so you have plenty of time to break eye sight with him, Plus survivors have plenty of add ons that are powerful too, insta blinds, insta heals and super quick sabo/repair toolkits.

Survivor arguments debunk

  1. Gens are done too quickly - I have heard this so many times from friends and other people on here, you all need to realise that survivors have things against them too, you have the ability to take survivors out the battle by hooking them, bring thanataphoia and watch them scramble to heal so they can do those gens quicker, killers are faster then survivors and have the ability to lunge and in some cases some killers are silent and can punish survivors for not looking around while doing gens, a deathslinger can yank you off the gen from a distance, a michael can stalk you while your on a gen aswell as ghostface, pig and ghostface can both grab you off the gen, you have ample time to ######### the survivors over while they gen jockey.
  2. Killers like wraith have been nerfed alot - I'm gonna be honest there isnt alot i can say here cause it's true but at the same time they have add ons like silent clapper (insert innuendo here) and quick reappear, i have seen many people play him with super style that you would of thought it was a new buff for him while its them just using him effectively.
  3. Survivors have perks like decisive strike and head on to screw killers over - Firstly decisive is only going to be a bother to people who tunnel them, unless you run into them a few seconds later in which you can just slug them, the highest tier means they just have to sit there for 90 seconds before its gone, and even then if they ubreakable or another team mate heals then thats a perk gone and a free hit on the team mate. Head on isnt worthy of a #########, its a meme perk that requires you to enter a locker with a distinctive eeEEE when its opened or closed. ALSO killers have plenty of OP perks aswell.
  4. Blendette's have the ability to dissapear around corners - As a killer you shouldn't expect the survivor to hold a big banner saying im here, they can hide, its a tactic to stop themselves from getting spanked by a spirit or a trapper.
  5. Survivors have insta heals - their only insta heals is either taking 14 seconds to work or makes the other person broken (for the people) its not that op and they lose the entire goddamn medkit afterwards, if they are wasting time healing thats on them and its giving you an advantage to get some more BP and to know they are -1 medkit.

As you can see these are arguements cancel eachother out, therefore imo i believe this game is balanced on a wierd level and isnt SuRvIvOr SiDeD or KiLlEr SiDeD. That is all my fellow dead by daylighters
