New Killer, The Monkey

Aight, so I got an idea for a killer in dead by daylight. It's basically Son Wukong, ya know, a monkey or whatevs. And don't you guys say "oh, a monkey isn't scary, blah blah", cuz if you've ever looked at a baboon or an angry gorilla, that #########'s pretty ######### terrifying.

Anyway, the idea.

So, he's a monkey, and he has a staff.

115%, cuz monkeys be fast, yo.

28m terror radius, cuz why not.

And for his ability I was thinkin that for once, we try pushing the use of status effects without just bombing normal powers in addons.

So, his power is the staff.

He can charge a staff swing for up to 4 seconds, and during this time, he's slowed down to 80%.

If he holds he staff for 1 second, he does a normal swing with the range of a lunge, maybe a lil' more. If this hit connects with a survivor, they get injured (or downed, if already injured), and the blindness status effect is added to them for 60 seconds.

I chose blindness because its pretty easy to hit someone with only one sec charging time, and blindness isnt that big of a deal to be hit with. But it could be cool if the survivor is all alone, then the Monkey swings in from behind a corner and Bonk, suddenly he doesn't know where to go.

If he charges for 2 seconds, it becomes an extended lunge attack, and any survivor hit by it gets injured or downed, and is affected by the mangled/broken effect for 60 seconds.

I thought mangled or broken would make sense, because it's a little more severe than the first one, and could help with stopping survivors from healing during chases and stuff.

And if he charges for 3 seconds, I'm thinking he does some sorta AOE attack (like doctors circled blast, but a lot smaller, obviously) where he swings his staff all the way around, and anyone in range gets either injured or downed.

This one is for moments when you get the drop on more than one survivor, like if they're all on a gen, or healing someone. The extended charge time makes it somewhat of a fair trade, if the range is long enough that survivors cant just easily take a step away from the danger zone.

If he charges for 4 seconds, He becomes undetectable for a few seconds. Then, if he hits a survivor (the attack is now a basic swing, not a lunge), they get afflicted by the Oblivious status effect for 60 seconds.

This one is more for mind games, like if you see that you can maybe trick the survivor in a loop by going undetectable for a second, then suddenly striking from the shadows.

For the addons, I think it'd be as simple as having stuff that either makes for longer status effect durations, Different status effects, or reduced cooldown/charge time on the staff smash. And for some pink ones, let's say one makes your fully charged Smash insta down players (plus some handicap or whatevs), and another that makes you instantly replenish your staff smash after hitting a survivor.

Now, for Perks. I hadn't really planned for any perks, but lez try anyway.

Primal Instict: After downing a survivor, you get a 2%/3%/4% increase to your movement speed for 15 seconds, If you down a new survivor, this effect stacks, and resets the timer.

"KEAAKYHUAAAUUH" -Wukong

Drunken master: after getting hit with a pallet 3 times, survivors get the exposed effect for 15/20/25 seconds.

"When the enemy gets confident you have already won" -Sun Tzu, probably

Quick on your feet: after Vaulting a window, you gain a token. For each token you have, you get a 5% Vaulting speed increase, at a maximum of 6 tokens. You lose 3/2/1 token if you vault the same window twice.

"Years of climbing does wonders for your legs!" -Vegan Hiker

Now, I haven't thought about cooldowns, but let's say, there's like 10-15 seconds or something between every staff swing.

Now, his might sound like a very situational killer, but I like to see it as a killer that has something for every situation. You want to down multiple survivors? Done? You want to mind game? Boom. You want to make the survivors waste time healing and not finding each other, hindering healing? Donearooney. He just works no matter what. If he had a description, I think it'd be something like this;

A situational killer, The Monkey uses a varied set of attacks to quickly confuse, injure or slow down survivors. His perks let him effectively chase down survivors and can turn the tables in any situation.

I just think this would be a cool addition, since more beast like/wild killers are interesting, like the Demogorgon, and Son Wukong would be a neat character to see shifted to evil deeds. Just some thoughts my brain had, thanks for coming to my TED talk.
