PC servers acting up for anyone else?

Today I have been getting some inexpiable lag. I keep task manager open to monitor my net data and for some reason my download rates will have a single micro drop every 40 or so seconds. But the upload data flow is near perfect and at a constant.

In game (as Killer) I'll see Survivors teleport or simply vanish, their movements look very rough and their actions could even be skipped as seeing someone be on one side of a window then the other with no vault animation. My Killer power would have rather noticeable delays. And overall it looks like lag. But it doesn't "feel" right as I can't repeat this lag elsewhere on a browser or Steam. Reddit was a bit sluggish, but Reddit does that time to time by itself. This lag also doesn't fit normal patterns by only having half of my net be effected. If Im lagging, both my upload and download would show it in Task Manager. Not just one or the other.

Anyone else notice some extra jank today?

    Yes. Have had screen freeze issues for a couple of weeks now. I have great internet and a new alienware gaming computer. That is not the issue. When a gen pops, or something like that, my screen freezes for a second as a killer. Made the huge mistake of playing survivor just now. Three matches, three times the screen freezes when a survivor is downed or hooked or a gen is done and anyone in stage 2 suddenly dies. It was impacting everyone in the match.

    Have you validated your game files? That sounds more like a bugged install or hardware issue than a netcode problem. Feels like the game being unable to bring up a proper sound/effect/icon when called for.

    Had something of those likes myself a while back caused from chasing the obsession and validating the game files fixed it.

    @Chewy102 Yes, it was not just me though. It was everyone in the match. We all talked about it afterwards. The killer was having troubles as well.

    Furthermore, when it happened to me in my last match (I was killer) I asked the survivors and they spoke of similar issues.
