Survivors exploiting killers field of view / blind spots completely ruining the game
I have been playing for 3 days and now my player level higher I am getting teams of survivors who clearly exploiting the killers field of view, they do sharp turns as soon as you are close enough to strike, they run around in your blind spot, they literally disappear into thin air. I have now had multiple games where no matter what Killer I use there are 4 people litterally running around me, getting people off hooks and doing generators by exploiting the field of view. It has completely ruined any enjoyment of the game. Sometimes I literally can't hit anyone. Not only is it clearly unrealistic it makes the killer useless and no point playing the game. I saw posts on Reddit about this game being dead and no one playing. I am pretty sure that is because of the unfair advantage exploiting survivors are using. I won't be playing again unless this issue is fixed and I won't be spending any more money on this game unless the issue is fixed

You expect to learn the game in 3 days? There isn't any issue with FoV. When you learn to play, they can't run around you without getting hit.

How do you counter that? I couldn't find anything on YouTube. What do you do?

Hahaha.
Killer FoV is crap, its too narrow and positioned in front the killer, like eyestalks on a snail. Survivors can be invisible right at your feet....

EXACTLY. Thank you. It's such an issue I would call it an exploit and the devs leaving this in the game is terrible game design. Why would they leave this exploit in the game?

You learn to time your swings by playing. And when they try to juke, stop or take few steps back and they stay in your FoV. Practice and you'll get there.

If survivors are invisible at your feet I don't think FoV is the biggest problem then.

Thanks. So they call it jukeing?

Do you play on console?
On console 360s are easier to perform and harder to counter, due to the nature of the controller. I also struggled with it at the beginning, you'll learn how to hit them by playing the game more.
At least if you are on console it's more understandable why you're complaining

Use shadow born if you would like to see more. While it doesn't directly add anything other than fov to your screen it is a good luxury perk which means its nice to have.
2 -
Yes most seem to call it juking.

Are you OK? Survivors are f**King stupidly hard to hit with the devs lazy hitboxes and amazing realism. Oh let's spin in a circle and magically become immune to a knife impaling me in the spleen!

I guess that is a console issue. I can only speak from my own experience and I don't have those kind of issues on PC. Hopefully devs will optimize the game better for consoles.
2 -
Yes it's a massive issue on console, it also doesn't help when scratch marks randomly dissappear or go in the completely opposite direction of the way they're running.
Also sorry for profanity I'm just very annoyed about the lazy balancing and fixes on dbd

Wow thanks for all your input so this is partly due to the devs and console versions =(

Yep magically spin a circle and disappear just about covers most games so far

Yeah I just had a match with a meg who would just 360 every time i was in range and vanish and it made me so mad (i thankfully killed her but she wasted my time and then in the postgame was mad because i killed her). For a game that's an homage to horror movies, I don't understand why "turn around and run straight at the killer" continues to be an encouraged strategy.
They need to change the movement mechanics so that this isn't as effective. Maybe make survivors faster when they're moving in a straight line and then slow them down when they're turning, like realistic movement.

In this game you can damage your surroundings exactly 360 degrees. That means you have not learned the game more fully

You have to be inexperienced if you are complaining about this take time and learn the game then see how you do.

Really? You have to "learn" how to counter blatant cheating, bad game design and intentional exploit. I am pretty sure they have left this massive game breaking issue in the game to make people pay to unlock new killers out of pure frustration. Who makes a game where players can literally cheat all of the time? People keep coming out with the sort of nonsense you are spouting. If your such a pro tell me exactly how to counter act survivors who run around in front of you tea bagging and then literally disappear into thin air. Better still point me towards some youtube tutorials that cover this topic. I can't find any, probably because their aren't any.

Back up be patient swing that's the counter.

It's a predator vs prey game.
Naturally, prey animals have their eyes on the sides of their heads for a near 360 vision to stop any potential predator ambushes. Predators have theirs on the front of their heads for a focused line of vision once they hone in on their prey.
It's absolutely on you if you're getting spun on by survivors, you need to play both sides and realise that looping and juking is the only defense survivors have against killers since they can't fight back. You're playing a killer...learn to outplay them, it gets easier as you get better and practice is definitely needed to get better a this game or you're going to get dunked on, on both sides.
They're not cheating by juking you, they're just using what they have in order to survive, so use what you have and stop them.

I have played on PC with my xbox controller for about 30 ish days.
I still dont have consistent performance and easy as it is with mouse.

I just gave dbd console a go on xbox. it is disgusting for the killer. The lighting is completely different to pc, way darker with terrible contrast.
Claudette is actually invisible on indoor maps and the killer is heavily restricted due to the controller. I wouldn't be surprised if the "good" killers are using a xim to play this with kb and mouse.
Meanwhile survivors are 100% comparable to pc in movement and map lighting It is literally different depending on what side you play.

The best way to play is to increase up your sensitivity to the point where you can do 180s/360s easier without affecting your general gameplay of normal turning. This way a survivor can never trick you if you don't mess up a hit.
