Is Spirit worth my money

I'm one of those people who buys DLC packs when I feel like it, and not just when it comes out. So I'm looking for a new one and I'm considering getting Shattered Bloodline. Yeah Ik Adam has his pebble, but I don't really care about that. All I want to know is if Spirit is worth it, and if so, how I should approach using her.

Thanks for the help in advance guys.

Whats your playstyle? If you follow injured sounds to track people she's top tier. If you don't use headphones you'll have some guesswork when phasing. But she can quickly traverse the map using her power if nothing else.

Spirit is the second strongest (and arguably strongest depending on platform and map) killer in the game. She comes with two very strong perks- Spirit Fury and Hex: Haunted Grounds, and a power that people literally would rather take a 5 minute DC penalty than play against (yes ik dc penalties don't exist right now). She's relatively simple to pick up provided you have basic map/tile knowledge and a headset that costs more than £20.

She has some busted add-on combinations, and is overall definitely worth the money right now.

Also you get Deliverance and Autodidact too which is pretty nifty.

100% yes. Arguably the best killer in the game. Her ability will take some practice to use effectively, as it relies on some prediction and map knowledge. If you are on PC and have Windows 10, you can use a good headset, Stridor, and spatial sound to take her to the next level.

She's pretty good, but you have to expect people to be more toxic towards you when playing her, she isn't very liked.

Also I expect her to be nerfed soon due to sed complaints, so keep that in mind.

shes good and fun to play but the amount of salt she causes is gonna attract a nerf soon

She'll be getting her necessary rework soon. So no.

She's good, but for me, she's boring and that's why i never play her (i do play Freddy a lot tho), and as Kellie and FreakPrince already said, she will most likely get nerfed

    MigrantTheGreat Member Posts: 1,379

Necessary! No! She really doesn't need a rework when she's being used as intended, but because the survivor community is the majority she will most likely get nerfed because of that!

She is being used as intended but she lacks information and counters. Sorry that she'll actually be playable against.

Just buy a decent pair of headphones and yeah you'll not regret buying Spirit.

Yeah I agree she would be better off if she was deleted from the game. Although a rework would be favorable. DBD doesn't need RNG guessing in a competitive environment.

my question to you is how well is your hearing?

If its fine, then you're fine to buy her

    1. Headphones isn't doing the killing
    2. This game is not meant to be competitive

Have you considered that lacking information is how she was intended? Just because you lack information doesn't mean there's no counter! Your not apologizing that she's going to be playable against, your apologizing because your use to having the advantage in the chase/loop and mindlessly looping without having to use your brain!

She is until she gets nerfed.

Survivors are crying LOUDLY so it shouldn't be to long.

If you're deaf, play with music in the background, or have bad speakers she's average. You're just kinda predicting routing and such. You're either good at that or you're not.

If you have really good ears, really good headphones and such you can tell exactly where survivors are and you're going to have a really easy time playing her and getting kills. That's my two cents on it.

Of course it is worth it, it is my main killer, do not worry about what they say will be nerfed, there is no op killer in the game, shes strong. what you will have to do is guess where the survivor ran and predict movements thats it.

I love when survivors start doing tbag in front of me, booooy just give me 30 sec to put your ugly a** in the hook, you gonna love it trust me

Currently she is the strongest killer so if that’s what you want I would go for that she can be quite fun to play as well

  • Kellie

If the killer lacks information, how am I suppose to play against them?

  • MigrantTheGreat
    MigrantTheGreat Member Posts: 1,379

Jungle gyms and unpredictable pathing. I've tried using these as tactics when I play survivor and they seem to work, but Spirit Will eventually catch on to what it is your doing and get you! Despite the fact that I stay running IW I almost always spend 75-90% of matches injured!

But than again the usual argument that survivors shouldn't have to rely on perks to counter killers comes in

Best killer in the game imo. Her ability to quickly reclose the gap on a survivor after the first hit is invaluable imo. Time is everything in this game thanks to gen rushing, so her sheer speed makes her a great killer. Also, with monitor and abuse she is great at pulling people off gens. Get stridor on her as well since you can't see much while phasing, the extra sound cues it provides are invaluable.

I do fear they are going to listen to the whiners soon and nerf her, which is a shame because she is one of the few killers left that stands much of a chance against a SWF at high ranks.

I've bought all the DLC for this game without regrets. I haven't even played majority of them yet, but they give me something to look forward to in the game and I also wanted to support Behavior. Personally I think all dlc is worth it in this game. You could do far worse with your money in other games.

Spirit is very strong, but you need to have good headphones and surround sound audio. If you are bad with her phasing power, you'll be running an M1 killer with no chase power. At that point, might as well play Billy or Oni. I do really enjoy her and she's my second most played killer behind Huntress. She just takes some time getting used to it!

BHVR constantly move things around so spirit is the top killer at the moment which will be their target (again) as survivors complain.

Nurse was top killer but is dead.

Billy was strong but was still nerfed.

Old Ruin required skill and nobody seemed to complain.

However Freddy and Doctor reworks have made them strong.

This keeps things fresh I guess in BHVRs eyes

Try spirit would be my answer if you can hear and react to start with
