PS4 - EGC Dreamworld, map darkens to blackout

I was spectating on PS4 the last survivor trying to escape after Freddy had closed the hatch. As they were making their way to the door the map started to darken. As time progressed it completely blacked out except for red lines from EGC and a nearby fire - see pics below. I could tell it wasn't just my screen because of the way they were trying to look around once it started to darken. After Freddy hooked the survivor the darkness returned to what is normal for that map during EGC.
Steps to recreate
1. Public match against Freddy on Coal Tower map.
2. As last survivor have Freddy close the hatch and be in Dreamworld for EGC.
