Good and efficient way of playing Killer

Here's a strategy timeline for Killer that I won with numerous times against both Solos and SWF, using a plethora of killers. Now the purpose of this build is to immediately take out a Survivor in the early game and leave only 3 Survivors to work on gens. This will give the Killer a better edge of achieving that oh so loved 4 kills.

Here is a detailed walk through on how it works:

Before I start, Corrupt Intervention is a REQUIREMENT. It will tremendously help with gen slowdown in the early to mid-game as well as maybe maintaining a 3 gen situation.

Step 1: Finding a Survivor and immediately downing them.

This step is extremely important and the whole strategy is heavily reliant on this step. As soon as the game starts, you will need to find a Survivor as fast as possible and end the chase quickly. A way of finding a Survivor is using a perk like Whispers or Discordance. Though Whispers may have more applications and usage in the long run.

Now if you see an Object of Obsession, that can mean two things. Either the Object is a god at looping and wants you to chase them which will make you waste too much time OR the Object is an average player who only used it because they thought it was good. It's a risky decision but if you don't think you can take them on, you should find someone else.

Step 2: Camping the Survivor until they hit Struggle Phase.

Yes, I know it's a scummy move but in the end, it's about you winning isn't it? Once you down and hook the first survivor, a perk like BBQ will give you a good idea on where each survivor is. You will then have to camp the Survivor until they reach struggle, once they do, you then leave the hook and patrol and hook people as usual. Why is this important? Because having a Survivor that can instantly die once you hook them in the early to midgame is a huge advantage to the Killer. Especially when there's still 3 or 4 gens left.

If you see 1 or more Survivors trying to come rescue the hooked Survivor, don't panic. This is a GOOD thing. Since there's at least 2 Survivors not working on a gen. Now if there's only 1 coming to rescue, they wouldn't be able to do so without the risk of getting grabbed. So make sure you find the right angle and grab them if they attempt to unhook. If you see them from a distance, try scaring them away by running towards them or attacking from range( if possible). Though you need to be careful since there may be another waiting to rescue.

But if there's 2 or more coming to rescue, one of them will probably try to bodyblock you and let the other unhook. In either situation this is a win for you since you can injure multiple survivors which means there's 2 or 3 Survivors not working on gens. This situation alone can win you the game since the early game is heavily in your favor, which is what this strategy is mostly built on.

Step 3: Pressure gens and find the appropriate time to kill the first Survivor.

If you somehow managed to get the first Survivor downed and hooked and they hit struggle, you can then proceed to play normally by pressuring gens and hooking other survivors. Bear in mind, you will need to be able to find the appropriate time to kill the Survivor dead on hook eventually. BBQ will probably will help with that. And because you're spending time pressuring and hooking, the first Survivor's Decisive Strike will not be active. Killing that one survivor in the early to mid-game will buy enough time to pressure gens and kill Survivors since there's only 3 left.

Any thoughts?

I think this idea is one of many that are effective to counter gen rush and to make up for the lack of map and gen control many killers have. Unfortunately, I am a way too nice killer and always try to go for the 12 hooks to not make any survivor feel bad (which mostly results in me feeling bad because I get teabagged and made fun of, oh well). So the fairest way is also the worst way to play for killers, therefore your idea is much smarter in terms of winning games. In the end, everybody has to decide for themselves what priorities they have.

Eh, camping that first survivor for a whole minute seems like a waste of time. If the otger 3 are smart theyre working gens and can have 3 close to done. After that youre whole plans out the window.

Thanks for commenting, yes I know this method can be seen as scummy by many Survivors. But in the times where getting gen rushed in 3 minutes is possible, this strategy certainly isn't bad. Glad you find some value in this strategy.

Camping until struggle phase is a horrible idea. If I am not mistaken it takes one and a half minutes for survivors to reach that stage, by that time survivors can pop all gens if they play their cards right and are not potatoes that stand near the survivor hooked.

You're right, it would leave only 2 gens left. But most of the the games I've played where that happened, killing that one survivor early on still gave me the chance to come back because of 3 gen situation (due to Corrupt Intervention) or they simply played too altruistically.

No, each stage (first hook and struggle phase) are both 60 seconds.

Which is still awful. 60 seconds of not patrolling gens, chasing someone or having any pressure at all.
