Survs carrying Key in the lobby is hardly noticeable
Can you make something to fix this? TIA

What do you mean? I notice it every time I queue up.
It's called having eyes.

What is your idea? lol

I personally have sometimes issues to see keys on some characters, cause they move for a long time in so dumb angles, that the key is hidden behind their butt.
12 -
yeah, depending on the char is harder to notice the key and forgot to mention, I play with low resolution due to a low-end laptop that makes the trick to make keys so hard to spot (sometimes impossible)
my idea is a unique animation when you got the key for every surv, like the hand and arm in the same noticeable position

I dont see the problem complainin about it cause it feels cheap when one brought a key, you dont know who and you cant prépare to stop them from taking the hatch just like some prepare for the view of many flashlights or tool boxes

Imagine UNDERSTANDING that some people have difficulties to see such things?

People saying to use your eyes aren’t making a very good point. If you use your eyes, it doesn’t mean you’ll notice something really small that doesn’t stand out. I play on Xbox, and I’m always confused when Otzdarva actually sees a key in a lobby. I find it incredibly hard to see as well, but I doubt we will get any changes soon. Maybe they’ll update the appearance with the graphics update and make it bigger. That would be a nice change.

I mean every survivor have a different stance if they have an item, if you don't see nor a flashlight, Toolbox or medkit he has a key.
It's called USING YOUR EYES.

Whataboutism at its finest.

I don't have an issue noticing it on anyone but Steve. Because of his pose, the key clips into his body and the only time you can see it is when he moves his hand from his hips to rubbing his neck and back.

OP was discussing keys and not moris.

It should be better visible, easy to change for the devs.

Yeah a small dark key on a dark background can be hard to see sometimes, especially on the darker survivors or cosmetics. Not to mention if you have a smaller screen than average or something.
Easy fix would be to make the key red or white or something, just not the black it is now.

Wish theyd be easier seen in the actual game. I can easily tell if someone is running around with a medkit or toolbox in their hand, but often times the key is so UNnoticable that I dont know someone has plundered one from a chest til I see people's icons say theyre escaping while 2 gens are still left.

I don't mind keys being a small model. What pisses me off is that half the survivors have animations that hides the key behind their leg, so even when you're looking for it in the lobby you can't see it until they do one quick idle that moves it out.
I wish the killer could spin survivors in the lobby.

yeah something like spinning that would help to see
indeed and my screen is small + play with the LOW resolution :=)

All of them have an easy tell EXCEPT ashy slashy...he eats the key

I've not had a problem seeing when someone is carrying a key due to the stance...I have more difficulty in game to see if the character has it then or if they've given it to another character.

I like mobile's approach to lobbies, although obviously optimized for a phone, it shows other survivor's perks, items, and offerings when playing survivor. Then, as killer, you can see the item they hold. But not add-ons, perks, or offerings. I wish we had this ability to see eachother's perks. That could slightly bridge the gap between SWF and solo.

You are able to see Keys just fine try adjusting your Tv resolutions

I think that the current viewing angle makes it generally more difficult to see items because survivors' right hands are obscured by their bodies. Add to that the various idle animations. The first screenshot is from a year ago and the second is obviously from the current Silent Hill themed screen.

I don't have the best eyesight in the world but :
Spot the difference.

Issue is, as has been proven to me before, is that a lot of idle animations are actually the same.
My eyesight ain't the best, neither is my monitor, so it does make seeing keys difficult. Not impossible but I'd rather not make out with a monitor to see it.

Uh huh...

What do you even prepare for a mori anyway ?

You play low res. That's not a game problem, that's a you problem.

I love how there is an entire thread here of people arguing that this isn't a problem.
You are right, its not the biggest problem in the world but it is hard to see, but it would be nice for them to add an icon above the survivor's head that shows what item they are carrying in the lobby.

a lobby dodge just how killers dodge when our items scare them

How about a Golden Snitch circling the players head in the lobby?? ☺️

And and it reveal every survivor loadout while you're at it. /s

im not talking about your high-end PC with big screen and high resolution, give it a try with a laptop from 2013 and low resolution and get back to me

the solution is having the item in the LEFT hand just in the lobby

I have an extremely nice monitor. So i can easily determine if the survivors are carrying a key.
seeing this from BOTH sides (im trying to be a nicer person these days).
- Survivors don't know if I am carrying a MORI or not. So if I see a key. Im going to consider a green or yellow MORI. Or I could dodge the lobby. Or bring FRANKLINS.
- Survivors don't see if the killer is carrying a MORI until the offerings burn (offering that does not turn over is always 1 of 2 things).
------------
I guess we need to make this FAIR for all sides!
- Killers no longer can see keys?
- Killers no longer can carry a PINK mori?
- hatch emits a BEAM of light?
- Hatch can no longer be closed, but a timer of 6 minutes starts on collapse?

you are making the subject too complex and deviated, plz do not mix MORI with key in the lobby, thats not possible to compare

Gee just let me memorise 30 survivors' idle animations and item-holding animations so that I can cross reference that rather than THE ITEM JUST BEING VISIBLE IN THE LOBBY.
1 -
There is a reason the ultimate sweatlords play Steve or Blendette.
1 -
I like that it's a picture because a video would obviously show him moving his hands and thus moving the key.
Imagine being able to see every item a survivor brings in game and still finding something to complain about.

Offerings are not items. You can't see any offerings and that's by design. However, you are supposed to be able to see items.
You're not looking at it from both sides, you're creating a false equivalence.

Maybe go see what it looks like yourself ingame. Steve hides the key better than any survivor by a long shot, it's literally in his hip for 90% of his idle animation.
1 -
You're right. Items are more like powers since they both use add ons. I guess survivors should see what power is being used.
0 -
I play as Steve and against Steves. No, not 90% of the time. Sorry.
Even if it was (it's not)... pay attention then?
0 -
No, because killers are supposed to have the upper hand when it comes to information in the lobby. Again, this is by design (due to the asymmetrical nature of the game).
0 -
I hope you realize the point was how rediculous this post sounds. Obviously the game is asymetrical.

It's gotta be close. You can only see it if he is moving his hand to scratch his head. And i'm not complaining, the really tryhard survivors just equip the key at 6 seconds anyways.
