Toxicity in end game chat.
I am almost at the point where I think just turning it off would be the best answer. Why do people bm and harass other people FOR NO REASON. Just played a game with a Hag with silent traps, where the first person died on first hook cause obvious reasons. Then I was playing very well, looped him for 4 gens, then slugs and gets a 4k. I'm fine with that, play to win, I get it. But when you leave me on the ground after everyone dies and bait me over a hatch and then walk between hook and hatch, then hook me, why?
So in end game chat, I ask him "why bm? I did nothing to you..." And this man went off about me being salty and trash at the game, then tried to attack me because i was running DS and Adrenaline. This Hag had PGTW, STBFL, Ruin, and Corrupt. Mind you, I never was hooked that game and my first hook was death hook. I really think the devs need to look into these post game chats and be harsher with toxicity in this game. Way too often its filled with crying survivors and killers looking for some sort of self validation. Though when everyone says gg or even compliments the other side, it feels really nice.
I know there are way worse stories of post game chat, and yeah, I've been through so horrific slurs and personal attacks even through people finding my Social Medias. Does BHVR even give out mutes to accounts? Cause if not, I think that'd be a great step in a less toxic environment.
Sorry for the over the top rant lmao.

Killers don't like survivors with meta perks, because they are strong the same way, they hate to go against spirit / freddy / billy, because they have to actually play the game more than just pressing the left mousebutton against low pressure killers.

Sometimes people only feel good when they hurt others by insulting, bm'ing or doing other things. This has been in this community for so long. There are less and less players that actually care for the "other side". Whats even really sad is, that some players hate to get bm'ed or insulted but instead of beeing a better person they do that by themselves.
Only advice is try not to let that get to you. I know thats hard sometimes and i can understand when you say you like chatting with others from time to time and therefore dont want to close the chat, but if its too much it might be the best way.
I just can't understand why people have to bm a killer when they're having a hard time getting anyone and i can't understand why some killers try to to give the survivors the worst experience possbile, especially when playing a strong killer.
If everyone would show a bit of respect, this hole game (and many others that suffer from a toxic community) would be so much better.

Don't give toxic Players any kind of attention. Closing the Chat is the best you can do. The 1 nice conversation after 100 insults isn't worth it.

Just another reminder that I'm glad I play on Switch. No messaging system at all. This is a competitive game and so people will be awful and I like to avoid that.

That super toxic DS/Adrenaline combo.
I mean, come on. Attacking someone for running strong perks that don't even compliment each other whilst running so many meta perks it hurts to see? Where's the Sloppy? Where's the Surveillance? If they're going to be holier-than-thou, they could have at least had less basic-######### meta perks.

I play on PC and I totally agree with you. It is already possible to send requests in-game, so there is no longer an excuse for a final chat if you want to contact someone who has played with you previously.

well in the killers defence there is one of them and 4 survivors, if 4 of them all run dead hard, adren, ds and sprint, wouldnt you be pretty peeved?
there needs to be a limit on how many defensive perks a survivor can use on a single character, when a survivor can out pressure a killer you know somethings wrong.
infact when i play solo survivor the enemy i fear most is a survivor with cancer perks, because if he does a bad job he's a waste of time and if he makes mistakes he forces the killer on you by leading him to gens with survivors on them.
they are usually the first to DC if they either fail DS or get out played at a loop forcing a 3v1, usually with 4 gens still up.

Naw mates it good, this rant ain't nothing compared too the...days I spent trying to write down the perfect rework for the Fredster. Anyways, Yeah, I myself have been fully toxic one time in this game, and it was entirely my fault I believe. Of course I didn't do anything like search for them god damn that's horrible. No I just got upset and took a jog to clear my head. Really, I think more people need to step away from this game for just awhile to start enjoying it again, after a certain amount of time playing it's not about having fun but winning, and when you can't win, ya get toxic.

No. No, I wouldnt be. I would sigh and move on to my next game, which would also be meta filled. Now, if a survivor ran those and then proceeded to call me trash for making them use all 4 of their second chances, then I would actually be annoyed. Bonus points if they had the smol pp build. Would probably still just point out their perks and leave, any hypocrite so lacking in perspective isn't worth more than that.
And, might I point out, that you are creating an entirely different scenario to the one presented whilst attempting to justify moderate toxicity.
Also, I would love all of my opponents to run DH and SB.

If you're playing on Steam, pressing the button in the bottom right corner will close the chat for you. It won't reopen until you choose to do so yourself.

Always follow the three steps to deal with toxicity:
- Report. Despite what some would have you believe, reports are read and dealt with. However, for the report system to work, people have to actually use it, or it's like complaining firefighters didn't show up to your burning house when you didn't even call them.
- Ignore. Don't respond to them in any way, they're not worth the effort and you might say something that will get you banned instead of them.
- Move on. After reporting them, leave the lobby.
If everyone followed these three simple steps, we'd have a much better game experience for all.

Am I the only one who constantly gets positive/friendly killers and survivors in lobbies instead of toxic?

Despite people mad over DS, I use it to combat tunneling which is a great strategy for winning games, but often unfun for the survivor. Why should I not run it and let the killer just ruin my fun in a game? I get it can be used in ways that arent tunneling, but I'd rather have DS to counter tunneling than anything else. Adrenaline is a 3 perk cripple till all game till all 5 gens are popped. Only times it's problematic is when everyone else has it in a match and gets value from it, which can ruin any killers momentum.
Back to the main topic however, I don't understand why 2 perks that are considered meta means someone deserves to be harassed or insulted, when I don't bm or be toxic. I usually don't get upset over end game chat, unless some genuine bm happens in game, like I've previously stated. Wish people who strictly played survivor or killer would play the other side for time to get the different struggles. This "survivor vs. killer" mindset is making this game so much more toxic than it needs to be.
