Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Tenacity is unusable

As a Killer, the second I see Tenacity I get extremely suspicious and insta-hook the Survivor. It's not a subtle perk at all and its pretty much only optimal in designated slug builds

I don't think it's that bad. It combo's well with the current meta of DS/Unbreakable/Exhaustion Perk. I just can't justify running it over iron will, spine chill, or borrowed time mainly. But the perk itself is decent, especially if you get farmed off hook and then slugged.

wish it got a little buff where you could move immediately after getting downed, would help escape at the last moment in the exit gates.

What do you mean "as soon as [you] see Tenacity?" You can't tell they have it til after the trial.

It's underrated AF. Being able to crawl fast and recover at the same time is huge, you don't even need unbreakable to use it well.

It's a very good perk. Saves you from hook almost once a game since killer often down you then goes after someone else. I even escaped when killer just kicked a pallet or Huntress open a hatch for more axes. Also gives you time to find hatch in EGC.

That said you should never show killer that you have the perk. If killer is clearly going to pick you up after window hit just be still.

Do you often down someone and stare at them for a while?

You either would hook them right away anyway, or you slug them and go do something else. And when you go do something else is when tenacity comes into play

I do the same. The only time I’ll use it right away is if I’m behind a pallet that needs breaking and I’m pairing it with Flip-Flop. As sometimes it can stop you from getting hooked.

Oh stop lying. You know you wouldn't leave them slugged anyways regardless of seeing Tenacity or not.

Tenacity isn't UNUSABLE, but it definitely should receive a buff.

I thought it would be neat to make it so you could repair/sabo/cleanse while in the dying state with tenacity.

Let's be honest, letting a no mither on the floor isn't a smart thing for a killer to do, so if the killer does that then you don't even need tenacity to get up.

But I agree, tenacity isn't a bad perk. I run it every now and then with no other perks to get up and I get a use out of it.

Oh there are so many times where they start almost instantly yeeting on the ground. I slug and take few steps, look back and they be yeeting.

unless you use a controller in which case you can lightly push the joystick to make yourself crawl at the normal speed when the killer is looking and as soon as they look away you can just dart across the floor

Tenacity should be a floor sprint burst. Like, the moment you fall down you can crawl at sonic speed for about 5 seconds, then normal tenacity comes into play. Now that's tenacious.

I get such good use out of tenacity. Especially with flip flops I don't let my memes be dreams. My best record is 4 wiggles in a single match. Even without flop you can vanish real good so getting slugged means no hook because they ain't finding you. Sometimes you know, not letting the killer know you have it right away is a better use.

It's a good perk to counter slugging. You can't get up on your own sure, but you can get to a safer area where someone can revive and heal you without worrying about the killer quad-slugging the team.
