Can we buff the basement chest?

"The basement chest now has a 100% chance to drop a very rare or ultra rare item but searching the basement chest takes 150% longer than a regular chest and the killer receives a noise notification 5 seconds BEFORE you're done searching the basement chest"

Thoughts?

I think it's fine as is. People know basement is a guaranteed item and killer can already build a strategy around that.

I think it's fine atm. It's spawns there 100% of the time which already is extremely good.

I think that could be a nice idea, but only once keys have been changed.

The fact this gives a 2/7 chance of getting a key?

    No thanks.

Just make it so it ensures you won't get a Broken Key or a Worn Out Tools and we're golden.

Only if keys are not a possibility, because otherwise it would be a nightmare i will need to go everytime there to prevent them from getting a purple or Red Key is annoying. 33% chances of getting a Dull key is massive.

Where's you get 33% of a dull key?

2/7 for a key in general. Possible items you could get with this change:

    • Dull Key
    • Skeleton Key
    • Ranger Medkit
    • Mechanic's Toolbox
    • Alex's Toolbox
    • Rainbow Map
    • Utility Flashlight

he said very rare so the green medkit is out but i forgot about the toolbox, there are also 2 toolboxes also i forgot about the red items but whatever the chances are very high for a dull key or pink key is terrible for the heatlh of the game especially when going down to bassement means nothing. killer never goes down to bassement because no reason so i think is a high reward 0 risk to get such good and game changer item especially if its a Key. so no reason since the requirement is no requirement to begin with, going down to bassement as i said means nothing. only trapper or hag could do something agaisnt because they can place traps right there to slow them down and still feels cheap and unbalanced, the game is already giving survivor enough chances punishing killers to make it to punish killers way more than already does.

As long as the chance for a key is drastically lowered.

I was just thinking about that, It should at least not give you brown items.

Only if you give a killer the chance to randomly get a mori midgame would I accept more keys outside of survivors just using plunders

And it requires a green key ;)

    Now they have a purpose.

That's an interesting idea not gonna lie.

Makes me think of completely new in-game content. What if the basement chest could only be opened with a green-key/broken-key and it contained a UNIQUE item. A laser pointer for instance which works like an ordinary flashlight but with more range or something like that. 🤔
