Can I get banned for lag?

Just had a game where I got absolutely HORRIBLE lag, so I was hitting people through #########, but it was nearly impossible to actally hit anyone in the first place. At the end, apartantly someone was recording and they all reported me for hacking. Without proof on my end, can I get banned? I've put so much into my account and I don't wanna lose it.
