What's the counter?
Let's play What's the counter? So I was playing PH recently on Ormond and their team 3 genned themselves. And I was swatting one or two off at a time they'd go heal and come back. Then while I was patrolling making sure they didn't sneak up on a gen their other friend went and got the key and the three of them escaped. I'm legitimately curious is the counter to just jump off gen patrolling possibly giving them the last gen while I'm off hunting for the hatch or what?

You can't really counter a key, but at some point you have to make the decision to just chase and down one person to either put pressure on them or secure a kill. They would still needed to have finished a gen, made it to a door, and then opened the door. Your ranged ability could have made up some time.
I also wouldn't look for the hatch if you haven't found it yet. Takes away all pressure. By letting them have it, they might not have searched the chest. Maybe 1 kill possibly 2.

Survivor main will tell you the counter is to see them holding the key and tunnel them out of the game. But what’s to say one of their swfs won’t come and pick it up? And at that point they’ve probably gen rushed.
All I can say is: hopefully they nerf keys soon.
