PS4 - Desynchronized SWF Party, Unable to Matchmake
After playing with a "survive with friends" group for a while, we will eventually get to a broken state after a match completes, or after being forced to the main menu with a prompt stating that we "lost connection to the host" or "an unknown error has occurred". After this happens, one of the people in the group has a broken game issue. The broken game issue has one or more of the following symptoms, but one issue is always present that we cannot play with them until they restart their game:
Symptoms of broken status:
- Looking for match "ready indicator" doesn't properly represent if the person is really ready despite whether they identified that they were ready on their console.
- The person cannot join the lobby when requesting to join the game from within the game's interface of selecting your friend and selecting join. It will prompt the friend, but when the friend responds, accepting the request, you will never get into their lobby.
Other miscellaneous facts about the issue:
- This issue happens after about 1.5 - 2 hours of playing with with another survivor in "survive with friends".
- This issue is always fixed after the individual experiencing the issue reboots their game. (not always obvious is having the issue when there are only two people in the SWF (survive with friends) group)
- This issue used to be resolved if the individual experiencing the issue re-initializes the game. Re-initializing the game is no longer possible as the option to return to the title screen was taken away by a patch that was maybe in April or May. It was not listed as a patch note when it was removed. To re-initialize when it was possible, we went to the main menu (where you can pick to play as a survivor, killer, custom match, store, etc), then pressed circle and x to confirm that we want to exit the game to return to the title screen where you are prompted to "press X to continue", then reinitialized the game by pressing X.
- Appears to be associated with parties where two PS4 players are playing the game from the same LAN, sharing the same public IP. Perhaps this is an issue with a port being used by two different PS4s playing Dead by Daylight at the same time on the LAN.

This is still happening every single day... As a new note, this seems to have been occurring more frequently specifically for the "host" of the SWF group since the newest patch. Not entirely sure it is related. Could just be coincidence. It also seems to be occurring more regularly from 7 PM till 8 PM Eastern Time (within one hour of the new daily rituals coming out).

Another new note... Something I neglected to add in the earlier posts just because I never thought of this as being a factor until now. Two of us who regularly have this issue are on the exact same LAN. We only have one dynamic public IP associated with my modem as we are a normal non-business ISP customer. Adding note to main report about this.
