Question about the account level system

So as you level up each level takes more XP before you can reach the next one, right? Does that mean the higher level you are the more games it will take you to level up? Or am I missing something here? Because if that's the case it seems like you are punished for playing the game more.

And how high will the account level go?

So far, I've been to level 8 or so.
Level 5 was like, 1700 xp or so, for 80 shards. Level 6 was 2100 XP, for 80 shards again.
So yeah, it seems like the more you play, the less you earn.

I think the max level is probably 100 (or 50 ? or 20 ?), then you possibly get a "Devotion" level. And start over at level 1. Not sure about that one tho.

Well no i got to level 7 and got 140 shards per level so the higher level you get the more shards you receive
