There still needs to be something to wake up at least one survivor, and popping a generator would be the most effective way to do it when everyone is asleep. Waking up from failing a heal skill check doesn't make sense, because you don't wake up when Freddy hits you. For consistency, healing should not wake you up as long as Freddy hitting you does not wake you up either. Other survivors would be the safest and stealthiest, but generators would be the only option if all survivors are asleep.
