What is going on with the Auras?!

I am a survivor main and usually play solo queue, so I use aura perks like Kindred, Bond, ect.

I can barely see anything now, and on certain maps, nothing at all.

Was this a purposeful change? If so, why, and can we change it back? Don't fix something that isn't broken.
