What do you expect to be the next licensed chapter?
I've been seeing a ton of polls about who people WANT to see, but I've yet to come across any predictions. I've made a poll with (as far as I know) all licences that others have been speculating about. If there's anything I've missed let me know.

I haven't the foggiest idea what the next licensed chapter will be. I have several I would love to see, like Conjuring, Until Dawn, Resident Evil, and Alien, but I have no idea if any of those are likely to happen, if the devs have teased any of them. I know they teased the Stranger Things chapter quite hard before it was announced, but I haven't seen any recent teasing by them, so I'm guessing the next chapter is probably an original killer and survivor.

3 licensed in a row? Don't they usually go back and forth? Only time I can think of when they even did 2 licensed in a row was Ash vs Evil Dead + Scream in June last year and Stranger Things in September last year, and they compensated for that by doing 2 original in a row afterward, Oni + Yui and Deathslinger + Zarina.

there have been two instances where there were three licensed in a row so far. first was leatherface + nightmare on elm street + saw, then evil dead + ghostface + Stranger things. the only licensed chapter that wasn't in a row of three was the halloween one.

Alien is relevant, well known, and iconic. Its place in DBD is a "When" rather than an "If" imo.

A lot of "renders" have been floating around, there was one of Alien, and then came and followed all the Joke ones like Shrek. Turned out they were all fake (unless you're talking about something different)
I'm excited for any of the big licenses, Candyman, Pennywise, Alien, Pinhead, I can't wait to see what it is

You're probably right. I took a gander and couldn't find anything about it, so the one I seen was either fan made or just something LBD made for their articles. Their site is atrocious to go through, but I'm fairly certain I seen it there.

My only question is Why is candyman actually liked? Maybe it is a generational thing, but I dont get why people want that, to be honest. I thought the original movie was kind of meh, and the villain isn't really great...
But hey, I like FNaF and Slender, so my opinion is already denied, if half of what I read is true. : /

Technically Leatherface wasn't a chapter though, he is what the devs call a paragraph. An update that is just a killer or survivor, not both, and no map. Bill from Left 4 Dead and Ash from Ash vs The Evil Dead are the other 2 paragraphs. Devs have never released 3 quarterly licensed chapters in a row.

my question was about who you think is most likely to be next, and though I'd love to see a FNaF killer in the game, I think it's very unlikely to be chapter 17. I personally also never really heard about candyman until I watched a deadmeat video about him, but he seems the most likely with the movie almost being released and tony todd following the dbd twitter and all that.

i know there are actual Demodogs, but thats not what anyone in this game is referring to when they say Demodoggo - its the exact same for the Xenomorph in this scenario.

It's not who I particularly want BUT I definitely think it's Candyman. With that said, you had choices up there that I'd MUCH rather have for chapter 17 OR even chapter 18 but, this isn't a "want" thread, it's a "who do you predict thread?".

Just based off of what I've heard people say in the community it sounds like it could be Candyman. My dream licensed chapter would be I Know What You Did Last Summer with Helen as the survivor (there would be SO many cosmetic opportunities) and the Fisherman as the killer. The map could be the shop Helen works at and the surrounding alleyways. 😁
