Is there an explanation as to how the survivors get their haircuts?
I'm assuming no.
Maybe the entity can transform the survivors' hairstyles at their will. It obviously has the power to deform killers and give them superpowers, so why would it not be able to cut or transform hair?
I'd like to see a barber survivor being added through DLC though, that'd be a cool character to play as. He/She would really keep a huge responsibility in keeping the morale of the survivors up. One would like to look good and survive.
Ideally, the barber would be a male since we haven't seen any pretty males in the entity's realm yet. They're either slick (Ace), slender (Dwight) or burly (Jeff), never cute. I digress.

I think it falls under the same thing like the Entity imagining worlds, but not getting it quite right. That they grab things from the real world sort of to speak, that might be a way.
Maybe lorewise it could be explained to keep the survivors and killers entertained?

Maybe the entity is you that is making the survivors wear what they like to see

I'm guessing the same survivors are picked from the multiverse, so they have multiple versions of themselves in the same trial, different clothes, haircuts, time periods and personalities (i.e. the person controlling them).
The killers have a salon and fitting room.

I am sure somewhere in the realms there are scissors laying around somewhere. I would imagine Lery's has some. Grab them, and get a haircut while working on the generator.

Surely when the trials aren't taking place, Freddy takes on an Edward Scissorhands role and provides everyone with the coolest of dues
