How do you feel about Legendary Skins and Linked Skin Sets?

To be clear, to my recollection we only have two Legendary skins, one for Cheryll Mason and one for the Oni.

Linked Skin Sets include the Silent Hill Collection and Nea Karlson's new skin (can't recall by name currently).

What are your thoughts or feelings in regards to these 'new' inclusions to the game? Do you feel the price range is worth the content of the Linked Sets or Legendary Skins, and would you recommend them to a friend?

I'm a bit disappointed, some skins like Jane besides the dress, her hair had no reason to be linked, same for killers weapons.

i post about it a lot but the nea one truly annoys me

the store bug proved the head at least looks fine separately, linking it is stupid

as for Lisa, I understand though the price is a bit high

Not the biggest fan of linked skins, but I get why are they doing it, to make some skins even possible, but legendary skins are just overpriced purple skins, really disappointed with the new Oni skin, it just feels so lazy.

If they are truly legendary skins and they are supposed to be someone different, why is everything the same about them except the looks?

Good and bad. Take legion's bunny suit for example.

It would be stupid if you could put the hat on his regular clothes, or visa versa. However you can't change weapons.. why? I feel like the rusted pipe would look good on other builds and a bunny with a combat knife is still horrifying.

It does let them be much more creative with their outfits, especially with Oni looking like a completely new character. In other games (i.e. dota) this can get out of hand and players can't tell what the characters are from a distance- something they should be able to do.

The weapons shouldn't be linked...other than that..I'll give them this these skins have some potential

To be fair, if you've been playing long enough, you can tell what killer it is before you even see them by their chase music. As each killer gets their own, you can tell who it is almost immediately.

Oh I agree, I'm talking about a hypothetical future where there are 15 legendary skins for each killer that change how they look completely. For veterans of the game, it won't be that much of an issue. But each iteration will have to be memorized by a new player. Right now it's completely fine.

Only the head and body should be linked, leave the weapon separate. Although this decision would probably be less profitable so I understand why it's this way.

Since they're doing both kinds of cosmetics, it doesn't bother me.

I'm not overly impressed on the Legendary side of things. Lisa has new animations at the very least, but Oni does not. I don't even feel like his voice fits the new legendary either. Nor does Cheryl's voice really fit Lisa's, tbf. If they weren't going to do anything but create a new skin, it should just be an iridescent skin. People are within their right to purchase them, but Oni's feels like rip off more so.

Linked in general I'm ehhhh about. Like Nea's looks great, and I understand why they did it since half of her head is bald without the hoodie and her outfit pieces overlap in such a way it wouldn't work without adjusting them for current single pieces. I'm just much less inclined to buy those since I like to mix and match. Still, it does give them a little creative room, so maybe we'll see a couple more great pieces. I just don't want this to be what they release the most.

All they have to do is finish the back of Neas head and to-da it looks fine. The head already works with other cosmetics.

Legendary outfits are a cool addition but should not be overused. But linked are pretty pointless.

True, but that would mean making a second version. I'm not against it, but it is more work to implement. Lets hope they decide to do more 2 piece links than 3 if they're going to be doing this a lot.

They dont need to make a second version. Just add some buzzed hair to the back of the current one. It wouldn't cause problems with the hood.

Oh yeah that's true. I was thinking of a full head of hair, because I think they were going for something like this:

    But buzzed works.

I love legendary skins. They're so cool. The new oni skin is awesome.

I really like the idea of adding skins of other characters like how they did with Silent Hill's Chapter. But I hate that her other skins are linked together. Linked when there doesn't seem to be a proper reason for it isn't something I'd like to see. The best part about costumes to me, is trying to find your own unique outfit, by mixing pieces together imo. So seeing them linked just annoys me.

Basically if it drastically changes the character model, I'm fine. But costumes like Cheryl's being linked is just obnoxious. I don't even know why it's linked in the first place. I'd like to use the longer hair with her regular outfit.

Hate 'em. I see them as greedy cash grabs.

linked cosmetics are fine when they make sense (oni minotaur set, robbie the rabbit legion, lisa) but when the cosmetics could easily be swappable its stupid (nea set, janes set, any cheryl skin besides lisa, pyramid heads skins, etc.)

either way im not gonna buy any legendary/linked skin because the sole reason i buy cosmetics is to swap them around

I actually don't mind linked sets. I personally like to wear entire outfits as a whole rather than mixing and matching. I like the theme each outfit encompasses and mixing is less appealing to me because it detracts from that. That being said, I know I'm in the minority and most people like to mix so the devs need to be careful with how many linked sets they put out or it will hurt their sales.

Both legendary skins just seem really lazy.

There nothing about them that really justifies their rarity and price.

They should be 1080 Auric cells

I was kinda in defense for them but after seeing the ######### that is this oni skin i'm completely against it. I thought it was going to be a way for them to make high quality creative skins but it's just another cash grab.

None of the linked outfits actually need everything to be linked. Nea's head can work just fine on its own.

The current Legendary skins are lackluster. Oni's is just a normal skin disguised as a Legendary one. Lisa at least has a new animation, but she needs more than that (like new sounds).
