MMR wil make the game much harder
Anyone who plays online games knows that a game that has some sort of MMR /ratings is much harder to play and way more nervous because people play to win , to get high scores etc
people here like to talk about "fun", "unfair play", "boring killers" to impose all sort of rules on killer`s gamestyle but most of it will be gone if serious rating is going to be added. Are you ready for this? Killers wont listen to this talks anymore, they will simply use the best stategy for winning.
i dont know if survs are going to have their own mmr but if so they are going to be much taugher , careful. Cursing and bashing teammates for wrong perks, items, a bad teamplay will become a common situation .
guess the game will become way more competitve, people will use best perks, best items , best addons. i guess it is allright. now pretty much any player that plays relugar is at rank 1, guess there is going to be a division all sorts of tryharders and good players on top more casual and "fun" players lower.
Camping does not give victory!! You should patrol gens or you will lose!! Complete nonsense , that works for facecamping in early game when 3 other survs are alive and spreaded all over big map making gens Indeed you are goint to lose. But for example if we have a pretty common situation when 2 survs are hooked in basement or simply close to close each other , nearby are 3-4 unrepaired gens this is pretty much end for survs. Currently most killers let survs easy escape in such scenario i included, but if this is about MMR they wont be so generous. I can descrebe more situations of this sort but this topic not about "camping"
i think there should be 2 various kinds of machmaking the one we have now and the another with MMR.
so "fun" players can keep playing their fun game with certain casual rules and code of behavior and tryharders/ good players can play their own. I actually dont know why such obvios solution was not made years ago, almost each online game has MMR and a nonmmr matchmaking where the first is tough and nervous, toxic and professional and the second is more relaxing chaotic and funny. This is a common practice that has been live for decades in game industry.
